Royal Gorge Route Departing Cañon City

On Septmber 30th, 2020, we catch the Royal Gorge Route excursion train leaving Cañon City, Colorado with GP40-2H #728 in the lead. This engine is unique, starting off life as Atlanta & West Point #728 in Feb. of 1969. After a career on CSX, the engine went to the Virginia Railway Express commuter agency and rebuilt into a passenger engine with a HEP plant.

If I ever get the chance to visit Colorado (which is where I'm heading this summer but to visit D&S) I'm definitely making a visit here.
