The fact that they do My Iron Lung after Creep is just great
It's very fitting. I doubt the audience knew My Iron Lung is about Creep.
@@sophiesamuels7196 look it up
and the fact that everyone cheered for creep but basically no one cheered for my iron lung..
@@gois3r its because the bends had not come out at this point and based off the date maybe the ep had been out, it would not have been long marinated for fans to enjoy and could have been used as a song to fill up tracklisting during tours
@@itsShelleyyTV oh yeah very true
I don't know why people hate this version of Radiohead. They're young, dumb, fun, energetic and don't take themselves too seriously. They capture everything about the innocents of youth in your early 20s before life really kicks in. And do it all while sounding amazing. The Verve were the same, check out their performances from Chicago Metro 1993 or Frankfurt 1994. Just young fellas with a free uncorrupted mind making awesome music.
Me gusta mucho esta versión de radiohead , bastante energía
Great. As usual my remarks were just censored, "disappeared " by the cowards and pigs. So one more time:
I think those hating material from the Bends are dead wrong, wrong about the band, wrong about life: youth is not merely shallow, in fact all to often the opposite , if youth is understood to go through the 30s, which for those living all the way on, it is: this is the time of greatest intellectual curiosity and exploration, of emotive and sexual intensity, of passion, powers, extremity, daringness; by middle age all too often, the intellect is shut down in the service of money, the sex drive poisoned or gelded by exhaustion, conformity, or mental injuries from a society ill with sadomasochistic and puritanical morals, and a general lapse into blobishness, and dullard-ry. Songs like Iron Lung, High and Dry signify this band and that stage of life at its best: passionate, pensive, radical, erotic, critical, melancholic or even tragic, yet also euphoric and in the highest mental state of love and intellect. While the band's later work can be sublime --- I think ALL I NEED may be the greatest abd most apt love song of the 21st Century, much of it lacks the power and intensity of the three albums .
But whatever, it is all only taste and only living...
It’s actualiy comforting they were this shit 😂

Thom Yorke singing Tim Buckley and later on recording final version of Fake Plastic Trees, inspired by seeing Jeff Buckley. No words describe my feelings. Pure love.
Jeff was there - he may have known that. I was lucky enough to catch them both there. czcams.com/video/VSoNZwupAe4/video.html
My first Reading Festival, went with my brother Martin and mate Ian.....sadly I am the only one left...RIP never forgotten .....it was awesome on that day, full of happy memories....Radiohead music of my youth
I was there as well, awesome festival!
Haha just Imagine a crowd reacting to present day Radiohead like this.
True, they fucking rocked in the 90s, at least should be playing 8 songs off the bends live now
CaveWang they couldnt
They rocked back then... now, not so much.

You might want to look up their shows, they rock

i thought it was Frodo
Don't get me wrong, I love Kid A, but sometimes I just want to hear Radiohead freak out and rock.
listening to pre-ok computer radiohead is like checking in on your ex
Except you wanna come back to this

I like the bass player. Laid back and rocking. He's going home chilled, nice dinner, relaxed, no shower needed. The others are like give me a bath and a burger now and plop in the bed 😄
Being young you are invincible then comes age and you rock slower. The process of rockin years.
bro i love everything about this performance, thom is cute and his voice is so good, crowd is hype in the performance.. (this might be my most favorite radiohead live performance)
Omg this video is just mental for me. I didn’t really like creep at the time - but I can still feel the sun on my shoulders from this. And so my love affair with Radiohead began! Single mother. I went to see Manic Street Preachers my first proper gig at a local place. I was 23. I had car boot sales so I could go to Reading Festival to see Manics again. Pulp at 3pm and Radiohead before the Manics. I will never forget the sun on my back during Radiohead so the massive love affair began thank you so much for posting this! I’m 52 now I will never forget that day ever. I got to see them at that local venue where I saw the Manics. Tiny venue called Northampton Roadmenders. Radiohead ❤ I love them but this was the beginning of my love affair thank you so much for posting I never thought I’d see this xxx
I had never heard the song Maquiladora before, just when I thought they can't surprise me anymore - amazing!
You should heard the studio version

Every six months or so when I need inspiration in music, and in life, I go back and watch this concert. These guys were all so good at such a young age. They conquered the world.
Jonny's solo on You was great
I’d say Maquiladora beats it, but yeah, it’s great
Same on the Astoria solo too
He’s an excellent guitarist.
It's so freakin incredible that they sound like this 20 years ago....
Better imo
30 years brah
Its like Kurt Cobain possessed Thom´s body to play Reading one last time.
wow , the sound of 90's , i really miss this era :)
Quién no quisiera estar en ese concierto... Los 90' fue una gran época.
Haría cualquier cosa por estar ahí, junto a un público que admira las canciones y un grupo que dejó marca en la música.
That brought back brilliant memories. Somewhere in that crowd I stood in awe.
My favorite band playing when I was 3 years old
The only time I have seen Pop is Dead played live
took some real brass to come out at a big festival with an a cappella Tim Buckley cover and a new song.
Almost in all anyone can play guitar performances something weird happens
But not always a swimming pool. What if they played it now and brought a baby pool onstage? I’d laugh.

this is the best thing I've ever seen.
You are the sun and moon and stars, are you
And I could never run away from you
You try at working out chaotic things
And why should I believe myself, not you?
It's like the world is going to end so soon
And why should I believe myself?
You, me and everything caught in the fire
I can see me drowning, caught in the fire
The earlier version finishes with the following:
Hey the sun and moon and stars are yeah..
But I won't share myself with you
You to me
6:09 enjoy
What a concert! Brilliant :))))
I love Maquiladora!!!
Edit: WHY ISN'T JONNY IN THE CREDITS... He literally gave everything here and in every show

The lineup was terrific (RHCP, Primal Scream, Hole, Henry Rollins, Tindersticks), they played in the afternoon.
Awesome gig...
lucky you :) i was 9 years old haha.

I thought one of the best oldies from Radiohead i ever saw was the Jooles one, but i am chnging my mind a little bit...RADIOHEAD RULES FOREVER!!
41:32 Jonny gives up and walks off all sexy like.
I know the Beatles didn't invent the whole walking back, or off as if you were done, but these here too use it to good effect.
Austin is back online. All those concerts ... back :).

watch from 41:07 to the end HAHAHA JOHNNYS GOING AT IT
Nirvana mode in 41:07 haha. I like it 90s is the best era for music not like now so much bullshit😂
@@Shadowgarden_. "90s is the best era for music, not now where i can access almost all music that has ever been recorded for free and within seconds"
@@actualalpaca18 besides the point mate. In my opinion phones and free experience to any music is terrible. Because some people go round and just spread hate on it. And it’s just ruined live music
@@lebigfin5251 dude bro, don't mate me, man
also what? im what way does live music get worse when recorded music is widely accesible online?
and what would you prefer? gatekeeping all music as much as possible?
and also, most of popular music being garbage is not a new phenomenon. the reason everything appears to have been better "then" is because all the bullshit not worth remembering or preserving... doesn't get remembered or preserved. old music has already had to stand the test of time, new music has not.
42:35 that sassy walk Jonny 👀👀
Radiohead covering Tim Buckley... Why has this been hiding from me all this time?
Man, has RadioHead morphed over the decades with the sound of their music. This period is gold.
This makes me nostalgic for late summer 2009 when I was big into grunge and i got into them. At that point I thought that anything past The Bends wasn't worth it. Over 2010 my mind was opened. However I will say that listening to The Bends on shrooms is a weirder experience than listening to anything post OK Computer. You'd think I'd be the other way around but mushrooms have a way of making the more conventional unconventional
thanks for compiling! takes time and work
appreciate it
Oh wow... 'Inside My Head' live... what a treat!
Thanks so much for uploading!
thom's sas levels are extremely high during bones
Amazing, popular w Nirvana, outlast U2and Oasis, still creating a new sound, in it for the right reasons, music...

This is a proper rock concert. Shame rock 'n roll has died so much. I often wonder if we'll ever experience a time like this again… Probably not. The '90s was the last era of proper rock.
Thoms voice at the start sounds great!
Wow the singing at the begining is one of the most beautiful things i ever heard in my life
Amazing Thom has any hair after all the bleach he's used over the years
Wow that You solo was amazing
Wow that Tim Buckley cover is insanely good!
Pulp were on before them, the Manics were on after. Possibly the greatest day in music festival history?
Omg yes!!!!! I was there my first festival ever I’m really old person now but it was genuinely the best afternoon of my life I had to raise money from car boot sales at the time because I was desperate to see the Manics at the time. But I loved Pulp too at the time. Wasn’t a fan of Radiohead at the time? I was a bit snobby and thought Creep got a bit overplayed on the radio. But my love affair with Radiohead started right there. I can’t listen to Creep without feeling the memory of the sun beating down on my shoulders. The rest is history between me and Radiohead
Beautiful
Thom Yorke - a beautiful being of light trying to adjust to this world. Behind all the swearing and aggression you can see him light up like a lightbulb. Almost like a diciple of Christ in an unexpected form.
