Hello, segregation is key to this game and so are diagonal roads because they obviously reduce the time.
TIP: You can put roads before shops or houses spawn wherever you don't want them to, they can't spawn on roads. 💪🏾

Also if you can try to connect houses to a single road, don't do too many roads with houses because you'll slow them down even if you'll use traffic lights
