I've heard that build videos don't get as many views like tool, unboxing, and testing reviews. Which sucks because I'm always happy when a build video is uploaded. Even if it's for something I may never build. Don't get me wrong, I like all the other tool review videos, but that seems to be 90% of videos nowadays (from most woodworking channels, not just yours). Great video as always, thanks Flynndogg!
I totally agree with you Samisharif. This video has done fairly well for me as a build video, so that is good, becuase it encourages me to do more. Thanks so much for watching!
Bryan, another outstanding video young man. Enjoy the way you explain and build your projects.
Keep at it bud. Semper Fi.
Thanks so much William, I really enjoy doing these types of videos more than the tool reviews. I'm guessing I'll move towards more of these in the future! Hopefully! really appecaite you watching William!
Easily nice enough for the home, but then again why shouldn't you also enjoy the results of your creativity where you spend so much of your time? Look forward to seeing how you develop that wall, maybe pinch some ideas for my feeble little shop. ☺️
Thanks so much Worstuserever! I totally agree with you. I'm really trying to make my shop as nice as I can. Thanks so much for watching I really appreciate it!
Yeah! A build! Awesome!
Thanks so much for watching Timothy! I really appreciate it!
Well that turned out really nice. But I think Amazon will see a drop in profits this week as you weren't showing off tools I can't live without. Enjoy the weekend.
Haha! I have to do these build videos more frequently for my sanity. I'll be back to tools next week, but I'm going to try and alternate every other week or so with some builds. Really miss making things more often on this channel! :). Thanks as always for watching as always Pat!
Great job Bryan the cabinet turned out amazing. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
thanks so much Jim! Really appreciate that! Thanks as always for commenting and watching! Have a great week!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Thanks you too
Great build Bryan! It'll work for a benchtop drillpress too!! Blessings!!!
You know that is a great point actually. Might even work better for that! :). Thanks so much for watching Joe!
More like this please! Awesome video. Thanks!
THanks so much Rayansandysteward! These are my favorite kind of videos too. Stay tuned I think I'll be doing more of these!
Wow, that turned.out absolutely Beautiful ❤
Thanks so much April! I’m quite pleased with it! I appreciate you watching!
I really enjoyed that, keep the build videos coming
Thanks so much Milleradam98!
Love the build videos good sir! Loving the t-shirt too and just pulled the trigger. Keep up the great content. Cheers mate. 👍😎🇦🇺
That's awesome John! Thanks so much! I hope you enjoy the shirt. I know they are a little pricy, but they are a good quality shirts. I really appreciate it! :)
Nice job Brian!!!
Thanks so much John!
Nice!
Thanks so much Meleader!
Nice build looks awesome going back to your roots of Flynndoggwoodwork instead of Flynndoggtoolworks! No pun intended keep up the builds we love them! Long time subscriber still miss the hand! 😂
Haha! Wow, I forgot about that little hand. I'm really enjoying doing the make videos now that I've discovered the whole voice overlay thing. Makes it a lot easier. I would expect more like these in the future. Thanks as always for watching Michael!
Great video!
Thanks so much Ken! I appreciate it!
Great way of making detailed videos!
Thanks so much Dan! I appreciate the feedback. This was only my second video doing voice overlay. I think it turned out pretty good. I've got another one coming up in a week or two on some planters as well. Thanks so much for watching!
Nice work!
Thank you! Cheers! Pazmania!
Nice build, turned out to a great looking cabinet
Thanks so much vernsteinbrecker! I was quite pleased with it. Really like that butcher block look! :)
Wow! That sure is "purdy" especially considering it is shop furniture. I am sure you would be able to sell it if you wanted to make more of them as let's say, bed side tables. I hope you plan on doing more builds videos in the future, it is really nice to see your process with the tools you have acquired. Great job, thank you for sharing your process.
Thank you so much Gregg! I really enjoy doing these types of videos too. I think you can expect more of these in the future. They don't do as well, so I have to do the tool reviews too, but I want to increase the numbers of these videos. It's nice to show the tools I have acquired from my tool reviews in action too. I was able to use that Igaging Double square in this one! Really appreciate the comment! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork Yeah, Igaging is one of those overlooked tool companies that produces some really fine and accurate products. I love buying their stuff from Taylor Tools. I feel it is the obligation of us woodworkers here in the USA to help out these small American tool companies who promote great products at good prices.
@@gregghernandez2714 Agreed! I've bought a bunch of stuff from Taylor Tools, great company! :)
Very nice Mr Dogg. I enjoy Bert and the review content but nust something about this hits different, i enjoy these also. Great build.
haha! I love it when things hit different! :). I think I have to give people a break from Burt every once in a while! :). Thanks for watching Corby! Hope you've been able to start thinking about bringing your channel back! :)
Inhave plenty of faith in your abilities for the additional cabinets. You got this.
Thanks so much Corby. This one really did give me a little more confidence. I actually met a guy in a meeting last week that actually does cabinets for a living. It old him I have a youtube channel and I'll be using him for a reference if I have any questions!
Nice looking cabinet with a beefy work top.
While watching I noticed @8:12 you had a slight bow in your tape measure. Probably just enough to measure slightly long, and throw your calculations off just a hair. Good job compensating for that.👍
great point and nice catch! that very well could have been it. Either way, I was happy I was able to squeeze that last drawer in. Really like the way it turned out. Thansk so much for watching!
Enjoyed that video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching Rod!
Pretty cool build I still use only sketchup 1.0. Old school quick and easy
Oh nice. I wish I had that version. I've used the free one online, is that the same? Simple is best for me! Thanks for watching Richard!
I was trying to make a joke should have said sketch up 0.01 I do the same just sketch it out on a piece of paper like you did I'm not very computer savvy
@@richardanderson1152 Haha! :). I'm just not very bright! Joke noted... it was a good one! :)
Bert would have got it lol have a wonderful day keep up the great work
@@richardanderson1152 Haha! Yessir he would have! :). Have a great week as well!
Great looking mobile cabinet should have tried the Going Make corner camps to how well they worked .
Darn it! You are so correct. You know I still have most of my corner clamps stored away, I need to get them out. I still have a lot of items still in storage from the remodel! Thansk so much for watching Robert!
How do you find those pocket hole clamps? Worth picking up one or two? Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺
There is actually a link in the description. You can buy the Kreg ones, or the knock offs, they both work just about the same! Here is a link if you are interested:

Over 5,000 views 🎉 does this mean more building videos 🤔🤷🏻♂️ I’ve watched it a 1,000 times myself it feels like 😂 I’m just giving ya heck ol bud.
Damn Straight! Very pleased with this videos performance considering it is a build video. Very happy! :). Thanks for giving me 1,000 of those views Barry! :)
If your casters are taller than the height of the base then the base height doesn't matter does it? Awesome build I always wanted a full size drill press but space dictates that I only have a bench top.
Yep, that's exactly right gigaphonicon! That was one of the reasons why I chose such large wheels. They were 5" tall which was more than enough to strattle that base. Great observation, and thanks so much for watching!
Nice looking top and fronts. I like that idea. How many coats in are you now?
Thanks so much Damon! Funny you ask. I'm at 6 and 1/2 now. I've been doing patches here and there as I go back to the shop and see dry spots. Really amazed at how much that butcher block has taken. I've put darn near a full pint on this piece!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork wow!
That’s probably why they sell them unfinished!
@@Damon_Barber No doubt. It's unreal!
Views are still climbing 🎉
I know! Very pleased! :)
👍
Thanks so much for watching Joseph! Really appreciate it!
Dogg, man still no lathe? Nice looking cabinet. This was one of your very best videos. We enjoyed it so much we hit the thumbs up button, twice. Also, we appreciate those mechanical drawings much more than those stupid Sketchup drawings (We're old school here in the Meat studios; meaning more talent and craftsmanship). Dogg man, I noticed that when you put the casters on you screwed them into the open grain of the plywood, have you ever had a problem with the wood splitting? We've always avoided doing that, but if you say it's good to go, we'll stop off-setting the casters so that they are all in the "long" grain of the plywood. Ah, Dogg...Woodpeckers and Festool; if my shoulder were any good I'd be joining in with the meatballs doing push-ups for the gear. The main reason you want to make this cabinet is avoidance behavior. Let's "future build" that lathe.
I agree with you on sketchup. I've played around with it a bit, and I just haven't gotten good enough to justify the time of drawing it out on there. I actually like that fusion 360 I think it is called a little more, but I'm also not very good at that. Pencil and paper seems to still work best for me! Funny you should say that on the splittling the end grain on the cabinet. I did expereince that but edited it out. Should have just gone long grain. Great catch and great comment as always Meat! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodworkI hope you didn't consider my question about the casters a "gotcha," because it wasn't and I wouldn't; I was really curious. That cabinet was very well thought out and done. As my master carpenter taught me, "if you can draw it out, you can build it." I think that's what your hand drawn sketch reinforced and we loved it her at the Meat Studio. I force the meatballs to draw out their projects. They hated it at the beginning, but now favor it. Carry on with the good stuff, Dogg, man.
@@themeat5053 Oh no, I love gotcha moments. The fact that you knew that the plywood had the potential blow out on the side was a great point coming from someone who obviosly has encountered that problem before! Even with the predrilling blew out one one of the holes. Nothing a little wood glue and clamps couldn't fix though. If you look really closely in the video you can actually see me doing that (but I didn't bring attention to it!). I'm all about the pencil and paper. Getting ready to do another couple of build videos in the next couple of weeks and pencil and paper are where its at!
@@FlynndoggWoodworkBeen there, Dogg man. Keep up the building videos even if they don't generate as many views (but I don't know why, unless all these youngsters think they know more) as those really boring and unnecessary unboxing videos. Love the channel.
@@themeat5053 I'm definitely leaning towards doing more build videos. I enjoy them more. I have one coming out in about 2 weeks of some planter box builds I'm doing right now. After that I've got a cabinet replacement build coming.
I love the build videos, but miss Burt…
He'll Be back! :). Don't you worry. Thanks so much for watching Mark, really appreciate it!
12,000 maybe it’s a sign from God🤷🏻♂️🤔
I think you may be right Barry! :). Thanks so much for being one of those 12K! :)
@@FlynndoggWoodwork
You got this. Can’t wait for the rest of the build videos. I’m currently trying to brainstorm ideas to make my small space more usable. French cleats is the way to go in my opinion. You get to make stuff and then put stuff away. Win win 🤷🏻♂️
@@barryhalstead9299 That's the best kind of win win! :). Best of luck to you!
