High-pitched sound keeping neighbors awake in South End, residents say

Residents in Charlotte's South End neighborhood are frustrated and annoyed by a constant, loud, high-pitched sound coming from one of their neighbors and they want something to be done about it.
It's no secret, South End can be a noisy neighborhood to live in.
Courtney Benjamin knew that when she moved into a townhome along Doggett Street.
However, she never expected a long-lasting, piercing sound to invade her home on a daily basis, she said.

I’m having the same sound radiate through my neighborhood. I just moved in with a roommate and it is CONSTANT. It seems to be coming from a factory or mill across the railroad tracks, but I am at my wits end. I can’t even sit in my house or sit on the porch without hearing a hair dryer like noise blaring in my ears.

We have a sound like that too in our own home. I have no idea what it is. Affecting my son and my sleep. Need help!!! It was not the electric company …??????

All they have to do is run the pipe above the building it would be so cheap to fix it

"this is fine" can legally be countered by smashing the pipe and saying "ye this IS fine"

Might be a noise ordinance violation. Check the decibels.
