You guys are awesome. I was hooked on that stuff after quitting opioids. What a terrible transition, but like anything else, it’s not impossible to kick the habit.
Thanks for sharing this. There is a lot of misinformation out there about Imodium. Most people are using Imodium to curb their withdrawal symptoms. I was using imodium to help with withdrawal symptoms. I took it daily for 4 months, and was weaning myself off just like I would have done suboxone(It's really too bad suboxone is too expensive and I had to try imodium! One during my 4th month of use, I was at my friends house. Her and her friend were there and I don't recall the whole night, they just told me I was seemingly very drunk after very few shots. Anyway, when they went to bed I did too. They had both gotten up before me, one left and the other took her kid to school. My closer friend came back to the bedroom to wake me up. She yelled in my face a lot and said she slapped me in the face. I wouldn't wake up. My eyes were slightly open and I was barely. This was 12.5 hours after we went to sleep where I was discovered as overdosed in the bed. Long story short, I had Acute Hypoxic Respiratory failure. toxic, encephalopathy, Aspiration Pneumonitis, Rhabdomyolysis, Kidney injury, Elevated Cardiac Enzymes. It was a rough week for me! I don't remember a lot Doctors, but I remember they kept testing (I think it was called my PKS) levels. They wanted them down to normal around 200-400. Mine were at 11,000 upon entry! I was in trouble! Don't anyone dare take imodium unless you have diarrhea
y'all i had really bad diarrhea so i took anti-diarrhea pills prescribed by a doctor but now im heavily constipated and my stomach hurts like hellllll what do i do
Unfortunately, anti-diarrheal medications can cause constipation. Just make sure you are drinking tons of water, add some dietary fiber (or supplements) and consider stool softeners (like Colace) if all else fails.
I know they will soon be banning it, so one can't buy the large doses he/she needs to get over that hump. Glad I am over and done with that. Thank god.
Side effects include rash, pruritus, urticaria, angioedema, and bullous eruption including erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis. So good luck with that Reggie. What's a little epidermal necrolysis among friends? Maybe you could get a job as an extra on The Walking Dead.
