    I love how all these news videos say "ask a doctor for help" not understanding that most doctors have NO IDEA how to help. At best they just put you on other drugs. They have no idea that the restless leg syndrome will make insomnia worse. That lack of sleep makes it even harder to stay mentally positive which results in being weak and relapsing. It's easy to say "You only need to tough it out for 3-5 days". When your muscles are on fire and every minute feels like an hour a lot of doctors say is easier said then done. That's why drug counselors and other ex-addicts like in NA are much more helpful.

      Completely false. While wonderful for WD in amplified dosages, there is a volume threshold. When taken in extra-amplified, copious amounts of 300 or 400 pills (which are usually made into a lope shake using a blender), you can force the drug to cross the BBB. Costs less than a 30mg blue on the street. Addicts have been doing it for years. Not recommending it-merely debunking erroneous claims on public forums. ✌️

      Doctors can't really do anything. They won't prescribe benzos to an addict even if you really need them and they can't prescribe suboxone unless they take the course and even still some doctors won't do it cause they don't have a protocol. You have to pay a sub doctor a shit ton of money or wait forever to get on methadone. And then you'll just be a slave to that. Clonidine and ultram work but they won't even give you the tramadol. Now I get why people are turning to kratom and immodium. I got down to 3mg of methadone and started having severe withdrawal and anxiety from it. I was taking kratom but even that has withdrawal. I'm back up to 10mg of methadone and no kratom for 2 days. I just got clonidine and I just bought some immodium. No way I'm taking 100 pills. I just took 4 pills so we'll see if it works or not.

      If your friend died from immodium overdose then clearly they had a major problem with opiod addiction NOT with chemical dependency. Addicts will overdose on ANYTHING it doesnt mattr the drug. People dealing with chemical dependency ate NOT addicted. When you have terrible withdrawals because the friggin dr is afraid to prescribe your medication because you are put of state and suddenly go into horrible physical pain you are willing to try taking a couple of immidium to see if it helps. This chick is COMPLETELY nothing but sesnsationalizing the story. She sid NOT do her research properly, you will note at the BEGINNING of the piece she talk about people taking it for ithdrawal symptoms, then at the end she turns it into a piece about people usi g it to to REPLACE it.
      That is because ahe is so uneducayed she didnt understand a word of what that dr said.

    • @mrs.schmenkman
      @mrs.schmenkman Před 7 lety +1

      Sir, you missed my point entirely. If someon is taking 100 plus pills a day, they clearly have a problem with addiction. Such insane amounts are indictitive that such an iindividual needs help to recover from their addiction. However, CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY is not the same. When someone is addicted an or has addictive problems, they will take ANYTHING for a high, no concern for the consquences. The vast majority of us are simply chemically dependent and just need a couple..like 4 or 5 to help with the symptoms. I saw the whackjob on YT video who is pushing that hundred pill concept. The guy is so sky high it is obvious that he is not using to to detox but as a substititute. Darwin Awards aside, if anyone has withdrawals that require hundreds of imodium then it should be clear that they are not capable of makibg rational decisions, and need HELP with withdrawing.

    • @ronherrin9159
      @ronherrin9159 Před 7 lety

      +Deb Carsey I think you are the one missing the point, nobody is taking the Imodium to get high not one person. There are a lot easier ways to get high trust me, nobody on this planet is taking Imodium to get high. They are taking it to ease the withdrawal. Withdrawal is the worst feeling in the world. There's nothing comparable, nothing even closely comparable. All you want to do is die and if taking a hundred imodium will make it not be so bad, guess what those people will do will, take a hundred Imodium. But, I repeat absolutely nobody is taking it to get high nobody. That guy in that video is a lunatic he's psychotic I would never recommend taking Imodium for withdrawal there is other ways to do it, but if you have no other option than to take the Imodium people will do it. Do they need help, probably but it's not help getting off the Imodium trust me it's help getting off the opiates which there is no good help for it because when you go to a doctor and you have an opiate addiction all they are interested in is making sure that you're addicted to something that they can make money off of.

    • @mrs.schmenkman
      @mrs.schmenkman Před 7 lety

      For one thing, I agree that this video is nothing but sensationalism. It makes me very mad to see such poor research ans execution. Actually, go look at that jewish guys video. The guy is so high...yet he is claiming to give advice for withdrawals. I know what withdrawal is like. However, I am not an addictive personality so I have no problems with abusing. Sometimes people get dependent even using as orescribed. You just have to use critical thinking skills when you decide to get off meds and use common sense to go slowly to help. I agree that the L totally helped with the RLS of withdrawals. However after researching it, I noticed that at such high doses it actually does replicate opiods. So, II just use 3-5 2x a day. It stopped withdrawals and I am not endangeeibg my life.
