- Too often headlines announce the death of a beloved actor, politician, or historical figure. Even darker, sometimes death comes at the person’s own hands. Each one of these famous suicides has a unique personal story behind it, but many of them also have striking and sad similarities.
Nearly all of these celebrity suicides have featured mental health problems in some form. Just because you are powerful, rich and famous, this does not mean you do not suffer. We mourn their passing and hope they have found the peace in death that they could not find in life.

Some ppl just don't understand that some of us just aren't cut out for this human life and don't wanna deal with the sufferings of being human. That's it. We just don't wanna be here and we don't fit in this world and that's ok.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Sometimes you don't need a reason to have suicidal thoughts. Sometimes life in it's entirety is the issue
idk about that. some of us just have worse suffering tbh, & we havent got to the other side of it yet. i know ppl want to say 'everyone suffers' but not everyone has mental health disorders that have no clear treatment and with so many aspects to treat like untangling a massive ball of knotted strings. Every time i cut off a head a new head grows. My life is an invisible battle that no one will applaud or really understand. Suicide hotlines are the worst, nothing can make my isolation clearer. I want to die so much but no point dying yet, once i die i will be dead so long, may as well see how far i can take this agony without creating more pain in the world. Maybe can get some satisfaction out of living an honourable life

Funny thing is Chester helped many of us overcome our struggle by sharing his pain and making us feel like we are not alone.

I check myself in that night Chester died. I just remember waking up and an orderly puts on the news. I felt like somthing happened to the world that night. And I was just a chance survivor to some invisible catastrophe. It didn't feel right. One of the people who contributed to my understanding that helped me NOT do that. Wasn't getting that help they gave me.

I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it's like to feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that.

Daisy Coleman’s story is one of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve heard in a while. She was a victim of SA and the guys got off🤦🏽♀️😡. Her best friend took her own life after SA. Years prior she lost her dad and brother in a car accident in 2009. Ten years later, she loses another brother to a car accident. She then takes her life and soon after, Her mother takes her own life 4 months later. Unless they have another sibling living, this entire family legacy is wiped out. 😢

I think there needs to be some code of honor for taking own life. At the very least inform those who are close, inform in person months before the event. So that those who are left behind do not have a lot of questions but instead some closure.

I’ve been a huge Linkin Park fan ever since I was a early teen, and Chester Bennington’s suicide shook me to the core. It still hurts to this day. Because I was initially going to see this band in concert, but Chester killing himself changed the trajectory of the plans for everyone.

I'm still unsure if I'll go for full suspension or just pressuring my carotid artery for long enough. At least everything I read is pointing towards that. The success rate seems approx 70%, which can be improved with appropriate measures (like proper knots, proper rope, etc.).

@@rammingspeed5217 yes, I did have some curiosity for NDEs at some point in my life. A decade ago, I must have watched a few "documentaries" about NDEs. Usually, these shows consisted in a succession of testimonies from a bunch of experiencers. But there is basically no proof that the sensations they described are actually related to death. Quite the opposite: very similar episodes can occur when taking drugs such as ketamine, having an orgasm, or being in a situation of extreme anxiety (not necessarily life-threatening), etc. I also vaguely remember reading a study proving that there existed predispositions to experiencing NDEs (such as having made an out-of-body experience in the past). Therefore, I don't think NDEs have anything to do with death; it's all in the brain. As someone with partial epillepsy, I've experienced a few derealization episodes, so I know too well the brain can go terribly nuts. I'm rather nihilist on the topic of death (but the bad kind of nihilist at this point).
