There isn't a street in Melbourne I haven't ridden down (former messenger). Never thought I'd miss it, but living outside Metro now it is something I hope one day to do again!

Jack looks like he'd be a little ripper on a BMX track, there's plenty of them around Melbourne and I'm sure they'll offer Strider sessions. Best way to get his bike skills progressing at his age.

I think I know what you mean but it is interesting how our language has changed to say “our life is basically normal” apart from not being able to go out, eat at restaurants, fly to see your parents here in WA or in NZ etc etc.

Yep I hear you. I've learned that no matter what the circumstances, I need to keep a positive attitude or I easily fall into a bad mental place. Having said that, all this shit happening in Melbourne isn't lost on me.
@@cyclingmaven I was living in Melbourne last year through the first lockdown so I know full well of the stresses it puts on relationships as well as your own mental well being. I’m not sure my marriage would have stayed intact if I didn’t have the opportunity to come home. It is certainly sad that the real impact of this virus doesn’t show up in any statistics the government and media highlight. Stay strong mate.
