Today's New Jersey Living episode is being shot in Kearny, New Jersey. Kearney is a small town located east of Newark and west of Secaucus. Half of the town is industrial or has a lot of highways running through it, and the other half is residential, so we're going to look at five properties today.
Kearny is not necessarily a high-demand location, so you can get a good deal on a house. We will feature a property that represents an entry-level starter home, and we'll walk across the street to another property on Madison Ave, which is priced differently.

It’s spelled Kearny. I was born and raised in Kearny . I have since moved away.
Kearny is a residential area. The industrial area to which you referred to is South Kearny.
The area where Madison Avenue is called “The Manor”

Yes, I did not pick up my editor's misspell before publishing, and it is a significant logistical undertaking to delete and republish given my publishing schedule. But thanks for noting the error. The industrial area is in fact known as South Kearny or Kearny Point, however, it is not a separate municipality. It is part of the town of Kearny. Similar to several other towns in NJ, there are areas in a town that are unincorporated or just known by a different name albeit in one municipality.
