Try using the cuticle scissors from the same isle as those tweezers the scissors are stainless and super sharp and cut off a tiny bit of swab easy. Also work awesome for cloning

It depends on about 15 variables, but I wouldn't go past 5 years before growing them again and getting fresh spores.

Do you recommend different carbohydrates for different types of culturing? For example, is MEQ better for the first clone, and glutinous rice flour better for the subculture plate?
In a previous video you mentioned that the first plate should take off and be ready for sub culturing in 3 days. If the first plate is clean, what is the purpose of the sub culturing?
Finally, I have never had an agar plate show growth in three days -- it usually takes five days minikum to show fresh growth regardless of if cloning from fresh tissue, liquid culture, or other another plate. Do you have any suggestions on what changes I should make to the process or storage environment to help the mycelium adjust to the plate more quickly?
1. I use the same recipe for all plates.
2. I don't know what you are referring too. I have lots of videos.
3. 5 days is long for a new transfer to show grow. I would need much more details to help.

Yes. No problem. Just take about three weeks. I throw in extras for the wait. :)
Your Agar more soft or hard ? How many grams you use on a liter ?
2%. The 'hardness' depends on the other ingredients and brand of agar.
What are the steps needed to get a good and reliable strain from a MSS on agar for oysters for example, and to then be able to make viable grainspawn with it, and direct it for sales?
That is a very big question. Too long to answer here.

Currently having issues with Parafilm, what was that tape stuff you used?
It is called 'grafting tape'. It is essentially stretchy cling film. You can also cut food wrap into 1 inch pieces (like a carrot). I have a video on it on this channel.

I'm on permanent vacation in Thailand. 18 years now. I am an educator/farmer. Used to work in a lot of labs.
