      Honestly theres so Many guides on this build, kits That are entirely drop in etc, the engine Rebuild is more about checking for issues. If you had a known good bike freshly serviced it wouldnt be needed, they were starting from an unknown quantity used bike so they have a little different set of needs.

      @@knight20092001 if you can change gaskets, change the oil, change clutch packs. Plugs it really isn't hard at all.
      The difference between taking the heads off and this sort of thing isn't huge especially when using a kit. It is all the same basic. Concepts, righty tighty lefty loosy, needs air, fire and bang juice to go boom. Its a really quite basic thing.
      Maybe it's hard if you can't change oil without taking it to the dealer.
      Now TUNING ONE can be a bastard but if you are using a kit then.... There will be a basic tune in the setup and an EFI bike thats 2 cables and a USB cable to the ECU piggyback.

      You can do it by yourself pretty easy by using rear&front pit stands and a quite common motorcycle/atv-lift under the engine with a flat surface by removing the oil pan, oil pickup, regulator and front wheel, then a piece of plywood to protect gasket surface. Then lowering and steer the engine out of the frame. (Hayabusa)

At first, for about 1-1 ½ years it is amazing, but after a while you just get tired, because too a larger extent you've learned how to handle everything, so you want to go faster. Especially for a bike like a Hayabusa, which isn't a bike for a circuit, horsepower seems to be the only way to make it more exciting and since the engine can handle it, the owners just want _mo powa' baby_

  • @shortattentionspangarage1312

    More space doesn't exactly mean more power. Raising the cylinders gives you less compression ratio, which means less detonation under boost. That's why turbo pistons don't have as much casting over the crown. It's also why boosted engines should use higher octane fuel.

  • @tykholol
    @tykholol Před 5 lety +8

    To people complaining, it is easy. Hell of a lot easier than turbo'ing a car due to the sheer size of everything. Really nice video, sub'd as of seeing this, good stuff guys.

  • @st33fie
    @st33fie Před 5 lety +11

    the "spacer" is mounted to lower the compression rate , when you turbo an engine you need to lower the compression because the turbo is changing the entire power curve / engine characteristics . N/A engines produce the maximum power at almost peak level rpm . turbo boosts the power in the lower rpm up until mid range rpm .

    • @jediknight1294
      @jediknight1294 Před 4 lety +7

      It isnt anything to do with your idea of how power delivery works, something you should probably do some more reading on in any case.
      the reason you lower compression is because the forced induction increases pressure inside the cylinder by increasing the amount of air inside it. This means that you are risking knock and detonation running more than a 2-3psi of boost.
      To counter this you reduce the engines compression either with a spacer changing the strokexbore ratio, or changing the pistons or both also changing the octane of fuel can help but thats very temp and altitude dependant. This allows you to keep the cylinder pressure within the safe limits to avoid detonation/knock as you raise the amount of boost you want to use.

    Answer for everyone, who questions the translation of the torque wrench / moment wrench.
    In Finland we call the torque wrench as ”momentti avain” which translates straight to english as ”moment key”
    When that’s wrong, we translate it english as ”moment wrench”
    And for example, car has 300NM torque, as you say in english.
    We say: car has 300NM torque moment, translated from finnish term ”vääntömomentti”.
    So Torque in finnish = Vääntömomentti and Vääntömomentti in english = Torque Moment.
    Simple, right? 😉✌🏼

    Ok Guys Im impressed but can how many kilometers did your bikes have when you installed them and I purchased my proboost a couple years ago but I have not installed it. Also I seen that you kept the lower engine mounts off? Or did you install them? Also I noticed you didn't have full fairings, I know I may have to cut them but did you put full fairings on?

    • @stuntfreaksteam
      @stuntfreaksteam  Před 6 lety +9

      -Bike had like 40 000km
      -we install all the engine mounts
      we didn't have full fairings but that turbo kit is design to fit under the side fairings. So there is no problem install full fairings after the turbo install.

    When you increase the deck height like that what your doing is decreasing the compression, Those spacers is one way of doing it the other is replacing pistons or replacing rods with something that has a shorter stroke. This is to fight pinging or detention that is cause from adding the turbo.
