I have tried about 50 different nigori sakes and Snow Maiden is my favorite - it’s a smoother body with less sweetness than a normal nigori. The flavor has the notes I’d expect-melon, etc-but it’s more complex and has a medium finish rather than long. Well done-I was happy to see it featured and even happier to learn you helped create something I recommend again and again!

I must say, I have tried many sake, Nigori is by far my favorite. Unfiltered just make me smile :)

I've had dinner at Brian Malarkey's Oceanaire in San Diego with my family about twelve years ago and it was fantastic. They didn't offer any sake at that time but we enjoyed a great bottle of Cabernet from Silver Oak (I think). I would love to go there again and see how the sake program is doing. I love sake as well and enjoy it here in Hawaii on a regular basis. I have had all three of the sake shown in the video and must say that my favorite is the Konteki Tears of Dawn. I have found the Wandering Poet on sale at Costco and it's a great bargain. My least favorite is the Nigori style of sake; just a bit too sweet for my liking. A nice basic tutorial for sake in general.

I would love to know how I can become a Sake expert. I am A talk show host and I would love to obtain the ability to share this info on a professional level. Personally, I do love “ simple”, smooth “flavor-free” Sake.

Hi Clemmo, we recommend enjoying premium sake chilled to fully experience the flavor profile and aromas.

I took Japanese in college, and the city in question (KYOTO) is a two syllable pronunciation, KYO-TO. Not sure why Americans and all English-speaking pronounce it with 3 syllables, KEE-OH-TO. Maybe they just hear it wrong then regurgitate it incorrectly. Or maybe unable to pronounce it, as native Japanese are unable to pronounce "Calla Lily." This flower's name was used as the counter-reply to a challenge issued by a sentry to any approaching troop during WW2. Why? Because no Japanese could pronounce it to save their life. Maybe it's the same with KYOTO for the English-speaking.

Sake much like Tequila is disrespected all the time and so misunderstood due to lack of intelligence and knowledge especially here in America
