  • Stelvio! Not just music to the ears of mountain pass enthusiasts, but also lovers of the Moto Guzzi brand, where the touring enduro of the same name was in the range from 2008 to 2016. Now it has been resurrected, even equipped with the latest radar technology on request, and our touring enduro expert Wolf has already ridden it - on and off the road, including up the "Spanish Stelvio".

Purchased one few weeks ago. With 400 mile logged so far, all I can say is bravo Moto Guzzi! Excellent bike, just waiting on a few accessories, quickshifter included to finish accessorizing the bike. Amazingly I like it much better than my Multistrada v4S, easier to ride, more comfortable also. This bike is a winner !!

@@Motomack1042 Interesting, can you describe why is it easier to ride? My height is similar to yours, the thing that you like it even more than the top adventure bike (V4) tells me that I should get it for a test ride this summer.

@Ringer1982 The Ducati is an amazing machine, but their are a couple of things that I just don't like. Engine flywheels are too light, and the gearing is too close. When riding this bike I find the constant need to shift gears tiresome and annoying. The Guzzi stout low-end torque gear spacing makes for a less intense ride. Guzzi is more comfortable and handles equally well. It boils down to the bikes character, I am drawn towards the Guzzi over the Ducati.

As a first time Guzzi owner, I love this bike, at least so far. It puts a huge smile on my face. Choosing between this and my Tiger 1200 to take out on a day ride, I want to take the Guzzi.

Pre-ordered one, looking forward to a demo ride to confirm my order, hope its as nice to ride as it looks, I want a bike with shaft drive that isn't a BMW.

Also the price... 3-4 year old 1250gs sell for more than this bike costs new. I need a test ride before ordering but my mind is set on the stelvio to be my next bike.

I test rode one just 2 days ago here in Florida. I'm 71 and have been riding since I was a teenager. Nice looking, seemed well built, price not too bad, all things considered. The transmission on the Stelvio felt so clunky, like an old Harley. (I actually rode my 2010 Electri-glide to the Moto Guzzi / Aprilia dealership Gainesville). I ride my son's Yamaha MT09SP from time to time and comparing that Yamaha transmission, to the Moto Guzzi's, the Stelvio's felt like a tractor. The Yamaha's is so slick. Also, the windshield on the Stelvio in the high postion vibrated and shook at 70mph plus speeds. Now, the Aprilia Toureg 660 I also rode felt really nice. I was very impressed with the Tuured 660. If you're seriously considering the Stelvio, maybe you should consider the new Tracer 9 GT it comes standard with adaptive cruise control and a slick quick shifter. The RideNow Yamaha dealers won't allow test drives, = no sale.

Thanks for the great review. I was anticipating the Stelvio, but since I am more off-road oriented, it looks like I'll pass. I owned a V85TT, and am looking forward to the 2024 version. It's even better looking than before!

So no Ohlins equipment version with semi electronic adjustment like the V100?

I'll ask a crazy question.... For road use / joyful ride, considering weight and torque, comfort, etc.., would you pick the Stelvio or the GS900?

Wish it had a 30l tank, more suspenion travel and the elctronic suspension option . 21 litres means only adventures where there is lots of civilization.

I wonder why you hold the steering wheel on the outside of the handle and you have an empty space up to the inner stop of the handle?

Bars aren’t always the right width for shoulder/back comfort for every rider. I find myself on the inside or outside of bars based on how it feels during a ride, I’d imagine this rider is the same.

300 miles in, i think it is a little more lively and feels a bit lighter, and effortless. the suspension is more old school than the tiger but fine.

The design language is not Guzzi. This will be a failure when it comes to sales. Mark my words.
