  • In this Football Manager 2024 Experiment, we have two wonderkids who are world class already, frozen attributes so they will never change. We have opposite ends of the Pace spectrum on display, who will have the better career?

    I dont even need to watch to know speed wins.Maybe make a experiment like defensive vs attacking full back and see how they do.

    Have you done acceleration vs pace yet?
    I wonder what would happen if one had 1 Acceleration 20 Pace and the other 20 Acceleration 1 Pace.

    175CA is about right, I feel. Also, didn't feel that retraining AMC takes away so much/many(?) CA too. It's fine ... If anything, I am very surprised at how well the snail-pace SC has actually done, goal-wise. Maybe he has been scoring freekicks and 5(5) penalties every season. *shrugs

      So their attributes were frozen so the position change made no difference. Ordinarily it would though

    Tbh slower strikers are usually the tall strikers, and the fast quick ones are a bit smaller. I bet that would play a big role

      I have a 6ft 7 striker with 20 pace and 15 acceleration!

    I am really curious how weak foot plays a role. I know it affects CA a lot, but is it that worth it when that CA could potentially be going somewhere else

      I did an experiment last year with 3 squads, 1 was entirely right footed, 1 entirely left, and one with max for both. The one footed players won

      3 full squads and a career sim much like my usual vids. I did not notice much position specific stuff. I did this towards the end of FM23, go check it out... please. Someone should watch it, it flopped 🤣🤣🤣

    if you're doing these kind of experiments, you should also reduce Agility to 1, if you want the player to be like, the slowest on Earth.

    That means nothing because you are simulating. If you play, you can have as much success with slow strikers that you have with fast strikers

      @@jayhuahua Simulation has a meaning for simulation, which is a way of playing Football Manager and it is the way AI play with other AI. Being FM a single player game, everybody can play the game the way they want and if you guys have fun with simulations, I am perfectly fine with it. But it's not playing. As in real football, despite speed getting more and more important, you can win football games without Mbappè and lose games with Mbappè. And if you play the game, you realize that you can have success with slower players if you build the right tactic around them. Actually, I have slower strikers with much better results than faster ones. So, really: I see many channels like yours who are trying to extrapolate massive data analysis from simulations reaching conclusions that are completely misleading because you don's make a difference between playing and simulating.

      With the detail level set to max it simulates the games as if they were played so a very true representation. I agree you can have success with slower strikers and personally I prefer a 6 foot 4 guy who is strong and good at heading for my tactics. These experiments are designed to be a bit of fun at opposite ends of the spectrum to see who wins. If its not fir you that's cool. I appreciate your input and feedback

      @jayhuahua I disagree on the fact that level detail set to max is the same as playing and if you want to do an experiment, you can take a single game of a really played save, with tactic familiarity and everything and play it 50 times with real substitutions, shouts and all that occurs and then simulate it 50 times and you'll see that results are totally different. As it obviously is, as FM is designed to simulate hundreds of games per week while you can play only two. If you calculate the CPU time it would take to really play all games, you immediately realise that is not possible to do with the current calculation capacity of human produced computers. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy your videos, they are very funny, but I see from the comments people considering these (and others' videos) to actually take in game decisions that are totally wrong if you actually play the game and don't just simulate it. Even just a simple thing like opposition instructions make a huge difference in the in game engine.

      They are good points, I'd argue that if you played the same game 20 times you'd get varied results but I do see your points. Some of the simulations do have merit tho. The personality ones, these weed out the gold from the bad and help inform many with wonderkid hunting
