Back when EA would innovate each year instead of just putting out the same game with a different name
People have been saying that for the last 10 years. They’ve stupidly removed a bunch of things but have innovated in other areas as well.
EA innovated for about 4 years, FIFA 06-10, mayhe 11. They they started to solely focus on FUT and bringing casuals in.
Worst thing is they cared so less about career mode they blatantly copy pasted it for the past 4 years including the exact same bugs… then for ea fc 24 they finally added ONE SINGLE new feature which even that was broken and crashed the game on release when trying to use😂 glad i havent bought a single EA game for the past 3 years

It was not really a feature but a glitch that in fifa 20 you could transfer Soccer aid players to real teams and use them in kick off, tournament, career mode and practice arena.
One of the worst removed features is when in player career every players squad usage was based on their rating including your own; it felt so much better than “oh you did training? You’ll start every game now”

the fact that player career last year you could request a loan or a trade and get out during any transfer window and then EA was like nah lets get rid of that and force you to play a full season with the team. Then i put Chelsea as my target team and they wouldnt sign me because i didnt have 42 ASSISTS in a season. WHO TF HAS 42 assists??
EA logic: If Messi could score 91 goals in a season you can get 42 assists easily
I played a career as a dm and one of the targets was to score like 10 goals outside the box which is stupid because I could have scored 100 normal goals and still get kicked out the club
@@Jinx-rj7kx yup same thing with the coach objectives you could score the game winning goal and get a clean sheet and the coach will be like "why didnt you get 5 standing tackles and a match rating of at least 8.5 😡
not to mention Manager career. I got fired from a team that i took from league 2 to winning the premier league and a champions league and every player was at least 85 overall because i didnt do some of those dumb ass objectives
They remove it without saying so that they can add it back again and be like “LoOk aT ThIS NeW FeAtUrE”

Honestly its simple things, the match day presentation in career mode like when the first got the prem licensing, now its just highlights from a game not played yet or players getting off the bus then straight to kick off 😂 but they added more sideline commentators and visuals like pitch preparation to just skimp out on the matchday production
This just goes to show how much „fun“ EA stripped out of the singleplayer modes to refocus their audience to spending money in FUT with addiction inducing mechanics…
One feature not mentioned here was Lounge mode. Think it got removed around 09 but it was the perfect mode if you had a rotation of buddies that came round to play FIFA. Created an ELO kind of ranking for you and your friends so that those random kick off matches you played actually counted to something long term - best part was that it averaged out your scores, so if your mate left the country and hadn’t been round for months they’d still be relevant in the standings.

i still have fifa 13 on psp n it has the staff upgrades, also player coach, sponsors, ticket price, even player growth (literally growth as in height, i might be wrong but im pretty sure height went up slightly like in fm). Also scenarios in manager career is in here, only thing is transfers r so hard. This is jus off memory, if i remember to, ill prolly confirm whether or not i was right, plus i wanna play my old saves so win win.

I remembered those world cup scenarios. Those were very very cool. I wish we had them again.
I used to have a blast with my old FIFA 12 playing as a Player Manager creating Mo Salah to be my Virtual Pro😢 ...MAN I miss those days 😢 playing with West Ham with a Front 3 of Hazard,Schürrle,Salah midfield of Khedira Fellaini and a CAM Thiago Alcântara and a Back 4 of LB Uchida,Bruno Alves,?,? and my GK was Akinfeev

I kinda like the actual way of negotiating with players and managers contracts and transfers, but boy o boy I miss the old way, when there was the pen and paper
The 2014 world cup game 😭 i had it on ps3 and i loved it so much, i really wish that they could have made that specific game for other PlayStation platforms - i now enjoy making my own custom fifa world cups in the tournament mode ( and now FC24 has the euros and the last two world cups were added modes on the relevant Fifa games which is pretty fun but its not the same tbh) - although i do play a lot of the old games like FIFA 16 and 17 for the nostalgia and it is very fun
I didn't know that Krankl used to even ever have a place in the game, it feels like we have a golden generation right now in Austria but in my opinion he is the greatest Austrian player of all time
You could connect FIFA 11 and the Football manager of the same year. Was fucking great. Management simulation like in the Manager with the gameplay of FIFA. Was the reason I've played FIFA 11 until 2020.

Need creation centre back, create and download real logos and clubs and leagues. And import them into career mode.

They take features away so they can reintroduce them later and brand them as "new". Just another way for them to be lazy and lacking in creativity.
As for old retired features, I'd like them to bring back manager reputation. Originally way back on fifa 05 and around that era it made you start a career in the lower leagues and build a reputation before you could manage a bigger team. They did away with that but for a few years around fifa 10-11 you had staff with reputation and you needed a high reputation manager as well as scout in order to sign top players. You could offer them all the money in the world and they wouldn't sign for you if you were managing a small team with low reputation. That's actually realistic. It was great and made you actually work hard to improve your team and get promoted.

8:48 those “retro moments” wont be relived by true fans who lived that era because they definitely wont be playing fc 25 or any football game for that matter. The only people who would play that are youtubers trying to make a quick buck making 1-3 videos on it(before the views no longer substantiate making new ones because its all about the views and not because the creator likes making the content ) and the die hards checking it out for a match or two. Literally the reason that stuff wont come back

Maybe in 10 years Retro moments come back when theres actually youth and adults who enjoy video games and football and can appreciate the value of retro moments. I pray i can play fifa with my son in years time and play those retro moments so i can teach my children about those historic moments and relive them in game side by side. Thats my dream😊

Bring back the clipboard from career mode. Fuck these stupid cutscenes nowadays. They are bugged half the time anyways.
Some of the World Cup Scenario games are real results and some of them not. Just reading what the matches want you to do and checking the results in Oceania + the match you played I could tell this. France did not come back in real life like the game wants you to, so no worries. American Samoa - Tonga was real (although if it wants you NOT to concede then it's not real), A. Samoa won 2-1, Papua New Guinea - Fiji is also real; Papua New Guinea drew 1-1 with a late (85th minute) goal. The New Caledonia - New Zealand game is also real, although the goal comes earlier for them than in real life (89th/90th minute in game, 90+3 in real life). The last Oceania match (Tahiti - New Caledonia) is not real, New Caledonia did not turn it around, they came close but lost 4-3. But it says in the description "REVERSE the result", also the whole gamemode before you click on it says "REWRITE Qualification History".
