Of course the biggest robbery goes to Adelaide missing finals because of that "behind". You could say it's revenge for the AFL's absolute murder of Fitzroy against Adelaide in 1991, but this was missing finals compared to starting the death of an entire footy club.
The Adelaide v Essendon game last night was a joke, it seemed like Essendon bought their own umpires with them. Even though Adelaide plays a crappy game sometimes like handballing the ball too much, not kicking the ball when it's lying on the ground etc. How many games over the years have been won by the umpires? especially in the dying seconds of the game when there's less than a kick in it.
in the game last night we were a bit sloppy, but if the umpire gave us the free kick which we should have gotten, we would have won, but now we are seen as a crap team again because we lost our 5th round of the season. Umpires need to be retrained

This is the second time that this has happened to us where we could have won games, last year and Friday night. So what's the solution? Are we at the stage of introducing a video umpire to review the footage as the game is played and overturn the on field umpire decision?
As for the Fremantle v North Melbourne match in 2023, the sounds are more delayed on the TV than on the actual grounds. So Freo weren't robbed there, however, they were robbed against Carlton. Adelaide were robbed twice, once against Essendon and last year against Sydney.
Too many decisions in modern footy are subjective. Lots of tiny infractions earning free kicks, lots of blatant frees being ignored. It's a mess, at the whim of the AFL changing interpretations of rules year to year that have been around for decades. I can barely watch footy nowadays without rage quitting because of some idiotic decision.
the modern rules are nuts. its as if ex-bombers players wore umpire uniforms, and as soon as dust got in their eyes, they said the bombers would get a free.
Cornes isn't blind, the footage that clearly showed the touch hadn't been released yet. How can you blame a bloke who hasn't seen the footage that shows the error?

Hopefully Crows can come back and knockout Port in the showdown in round 8, round 7 will be a smooth road. Also that stupid goal umpire didn't do a score review to see if Keays' obvious goal was a goal or not, and thanks to that Adelaide missed chances for finals in 2023. It just seems the umpires hate the Adelaide Crows for no reason

in my opinion that North game was fine. It wouldn't have been called if it happened years ago and I feel like they are too strict nowadays anyway
