This legit made me happy because sometimes I forget that they're supportive people out there. And also I'm listening to this the day after I saw a homophobic video and being lesbian and going by He/She pronouns did not make that easy to see at all.

throwback to when my father bought me a nonbinary flag and proceeded to misgender me 😗✌ saw the label and everything, I still have it on my door, I'm very open about it 🙃 whatever, only 156 days until I'm 18 and can legally change my name and gender marker

I wanna figure myself out before I choose the come out.
I live in the Deep South. I feel like I’m living an entirely different life to myself. I’m out but nobody acknowledges it. I’m still dead named every day and the people who gave an effort in the beginning ended a little after a year. The last time I tried to correct my boss, she said “that’s too hard to remember” (I just asked if she would use they/them pronouns)The only person that has actually put effort into making me feel accepted was my hair dresser. I accidentally put my chosen name in online and when they found out they made it permanent and they called me that every time they see me.
I'm really sorry the support around you isn't too great, your hairdresser sounds lovely though! It'll get better, unfortunately sometimes it has to take some resistence and standing up for yourself (of course only if it's safe to do so). I definitely had some people who "gave up" and it hurts a lot, you're allowed to push them though, you can correct them or not answer to your deadname/incorrect pronouns. Some people have to be told "no, that isn't my name" or "don't call me that". They may come around or they may not, but I know you will find people who respect you for who you are and stay that way. I hope you get some more support and acceptance soon, everyone deserves to feel that. 🫂

Hello! I’m nonbinary and my roommate has a dog who does this- his name is Charlie! Goodest boy yet he outed me to my roommate as well 😵💫
I remember when I came out I told was my mom and she said she loved me unconditionally but the look on her face said she was sad then I told my father and he asked if I could speak to my mom alone I went up the stairs and he asked if I was being serious nobody other than my best friend and Antie has had a good reaction to me telling them thank you so much I wish someone was there to react like this

Ok as a non binary person i can fully say i love this and that i would be expecting a negative because my parents dont really believe in non binary people being alive and i am forced to act like a girl around them and if i said anything about it they would send me to a hospital to get find or scold me hard for wanting to be non binary
