Did you find the snake brother? My husband and I saw one at my sister's house south of Iligan last year. Saw my husband kill 2.5 meter long rattlesnake in US, but he was scared to death of the yellow cobra. It held us in a room, so they are aggressive. I think I carry him off the hill, lol. There are people, at least here, who you can pay to hunt the snakes. They charge anywhere from 1000 to 5000 pesos depends on how fast they find it.

Snakes generally attack when startled or feeling cornered. I give it some space. Let it calm down. Hell, I even talk to it! Tell it to relax... then, with a long stick, tap near it so it moves away where there is a way out... touch it lightly if necessary so that it slithers where you want it to go. Snakes generally shy away when they 'feel' the vibrations caused by footsteps or activity. Just be cautious, but show 'em some love, understanding 'n compassion too hahha!

Although I'm a wildlife biologist, snakes scare me. I grew up with a brother who loved reptiles and snakes were one of his pets. It was a garter snake but still freaked me out 😅
Anyway, it's very important to learn to identify snakes whether you have venomous or nonvenomous in your yard. It's best to call an expert for venomous snakes.
There are two things that attract snakes to homes, food and shelter that humans unknowingly provide. They like shade, moist areas, dense compost or leaf piles and will be around if natural water is provided. Snakes hunt small animals like mice or rodents, frogs, snails and fish. Chickens also attract them.
You can get rid of snakes in your yard by eliminating food sources, getting rid of standing water, filling burrows, removing shelters, introducing natural predators (like cats), replacing grass with mulch or gravel, getting rid of bird feeders and bird baths, keeping pet food inside, trimming your bushes and trees, and installing snake-proof fencing.

You need to import some mangoose and put in the yard. Mangoose love to eat snakes. Also if you import a lot of mangoose in the country and let them loose, soon there will be no more snakes to worry about. Make sure you fence off the yard so that the mangoose cannot run out.Mongooses eat small mammals, birds, reptiles, eggs, and occasionally fruit. A number of mongooses, especially those of the genus Herpestes, will attack and kill venomous snakes for food.

I used to live in the farm along the slope of the mountain and it is a common occurence day by day snakes passes in my sorrounding feeding or looking for water. Cobra is dangerous if you step on it coz it will bite you but during the day you can see it and they will also avoid you. Cobra is dangerous if they are changing thier skin, they are feeling the pain if they move or when they have eggs. Like chicken, dogs if you were near thier babies and not familiar with you they will bite you. Snakes are afraid of fire. You can scare snake by burning dry leaves or branches. Snake don't stay in populated area they are.there to find prey or food. You can shoo away snake with long piece of stick and at night wearing boots. Don't be afraid of cobra's they co- exist with us for a balance eco-system, better educate ourselves and not panicking.

Well if you have a lot of rats, you'll have a lot of snakes. Mice and rats are their favorite food. We live in Florida on a lake with woods behind and yes we have snakes, frogs and mice (though I've never seen mice) but we also have owls, racoons and a Bob cat, so they pretty much take care of the snakes. All to be expected in the tropics.
