If you boil a bunch of lemon grass in a big kettle, then let it cool and sprey around places where shakes could be hiding and it will drive them away
I’m watching your vlogs backwards haha! Just seen the raised beds! Love it! My parents have had much success growing papaya trees here in their greenhouse in Florida. Oh wow, I would love a guava tree! Miss guavas!
I love to see you live simple and comfortable life in the province. I can only worry about snakes visiting your place, because i get scared of them myself. I hope you plant more lemon grass around the area. They say snakes hate their smell. Stay happy, healthy and safe always.

Balihog? Is that what you said. I think it was and so googled it and it came up as vice versa! I am also learning Visayan while watching these vlogs haha! I can surprise my husband. He speaks the language and I am trying to teach my son Filipino languages/dialects as well. So far he just knows some phrases but I’ll keep trying! Balihog! 👍🏼☺️

The café was a lovely place with large portions of food, that sausage wasn't just fully loaded but overloaded! Like you Adam I love it when the food is a bit spicy to clear my sinuses.
Welcome Hobo to the family, I'm hoping that Mei has been spayed so that Hobo does not need to be neutered and keeps his hunting habit.
It is usually better to stack and lay out the blocks before concreting them so that you can check the height and gaps as well as the ability of Jane to reach into the wider beds.
It was a good place for cheat day kind of foods and it really helped clear me out a bit. Everyone here has been with a cold recently but all ok now.
Hobo comes and goes which it perfect as he seems to have a routine or something. Mei stays indoors but we really need to spay her.
We built them too high but now they are looking great. Just need some soil and a bit of decoration. So much easier to use than before. God bless you my friend 😊

Sharp Gravel is a great idea as it needs very little maintenance and Im not sure if snakes are keen on gravel.
It will tidy up the area and make it far less appealing for a snake to go across it my friend. Have a great day 😊
Live and learn amigo .. I was curious about the height .. you'll get there. Your hollow block seems better than most - did you request specially cured ? Last batch I got was mostly sand and a lot of them fell apart - live and learn and won't make that mistake again. Curious - how long do you expect before you can harvest your pineapple? Good video.
@@doughenderson4345 thank you my friend. We made them too high initially but they look great now. Just need a paint and decoration of the area. Will be totally different. They were bought locally but seem good quality. Only a few fell apart. The pineapple will be any day now. Have a great day 😊

I will be in Ormoc in Sept to visit and do some work on our house. I think you all would like my wife. The neighbors say she has the prettiest yard in the neighborhood. And she has a great green thumb, she loves her garden.

Thanks Ryan. At this point they don't look like much and we were so disappointed but now... Wow. Can't wait to finish and show them. Lots of big jobs to do still. It's fun though. The plants are doing ok and we have a ton of soil coming today. Hope you are all well. Take care my good friend 😊

A mix of both at times but we wouldn't change a thing about all the benefits and great things about the province my friend. Nature, way of life, great people.. its a wonderful place 😊
Nice garden restaurant! As always my question is: are there tricycles going there? I really miss my little old car, but it's not functioning anymore as they didn't maintain it properly. They cannot sell it because it is registered in my name, so it is just rusting away.
That's a shame Paul but there are trikes close by which will go there. I think jeepneys too go up the main road fairly frequently. Have a great day 😊
