Thanks for this . Ive got a maverick strada with awful wobble. Ive tighted everything up. Only solution i thought was bigger bearings! But thats complicated
Hi John, it's a good solution, but if you want to avoid this and also that the cup goes more into the dogbone, could you put the orings on the inside? Thank you in advance
I noticed that play when I first took off a tire from my car and asked myself it this was supposed to be that way. Now after adding washers to my WLToys 124007, it's so much better - thanks a lot! 👍 (==> subscribed ✅)

Or you could put a washer on the wheel axle
I changed the inside bearing for a bigger(mr742rs) and now I find that the wheel doesn't turn anymore, so I have to loosen it and the wooble comes back 😅
So I guess I will stick to original bearings 🤔
Try putting some spacers between the inner races of the bearings... cartridge bearings dont like being loaded the way the wheel nuts are loading them(axial loading).
Usually when the 2 bearings are say, 5mm apart in their housing; you'll see flanges on the axles or spacers on the axles that are 5mm wide as well, to prevent loading the inner bearing race. Like skateboard wheels.
Now.. you dont *need* flanges on the axle, a simple spacer between the inner races will do just fine since these are essentially floating axles. But it sounds like bearings binding up bc of axial loading :)
