0:28 0:29 Thanks, that helped a lot, very simple explanation. Just what I needed before setting up my router. Now we have a strong fair share of the donut.😊
Glad you liked the video! Enjoy the donut 🙂👍
Well, your video helped because it encouraged me to test the wifi signal strength with different antenna positions.
But in my case, pointing one of the antennas half horizontally towards my bedroom helped the signal to go through 2 layers of brick walls with "good" quality. While pointing the antennas straight up, it only gives "fair" and sometimes even "poor" quality. I double tested it in different rooms too, and straight up antennas was worse in my case.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Behfor, I learned something new and essential.
You're welcome, glad it was useful for you :)
Definitely need the next video! Thanks
The next video will be a different subject however the next KB video will be regarding the multy-story house antenna setup. Thanks
❤ Thanks for this !
You're very welcome :)
love the straight answer!
Better adjust my antenna.
It is still hard to know which antenna for which frequency
Glad you liked it, thanks 🙏
Very helpfull video Awesome work👌👌👌👌👏👏👏👍👍👍
Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for the info,this helps
You're very welcome! Glad to hear 😊
So my router has 3 antennae; do they each do something different? It's a TP-Link AC1750. I have a single story house with the router near center. I also have an electric car in the basement garage that gets its updates via WiFi (I think).
The antennas could be dual band (2.4 ghz + 5 ghz) or single band. I would keep the antennas vertical and if there is no signal in the basement then I would tilt one of them a little bit (maybe 20 degrees) towards the basement and check the signal again.
My router is placed too high above the floor, close to the ceiling. Do you have to curve the antennas for better range in that case?
I would first use a WiFi analyzer to check the signal strength I actually receive in different areas of the house. If it is good everywhere, I wouldn't change anything. If it is not good in certain areas (let's assume the router has 4 antennas: 2 for 2.4 GHz and 2 for 5 GHz), I would tilt one of the 2.4 GHz antennas and one of the 5 GHz antennas about 15-20 degrees towards the area in question and check the signal again. Depending on the results, I might have to tilt further. This is what I would do. I hope that helps. Thanks.
would be nice if you had a two or three story house scenario. I currently live in a three story townhouse and would like to know how I should angle my routers antennas
get a wifi booster for each floor and give them a wired connection to the router
Is there any good free wifi analyzer ios app to check signal strength?
I don't have an iPhone but I know iOS doesn't allow third party apps to have access to the wifi information so I don't think there is any iOS app that can truly analyze the network.
Teşekkürler.

What about when you have your router in a single story house and placed 7 feet on top of a cabinet ?
Maybe adjust your antenna to lean at certain angle?
if it is 7 feet from the ground it should still be alright, I would still keep the antennas upright, unless there is a problem which in that case I would make some changes, thanks.
How to deal with walls in between
remove them
