  • Today I share with you how I made Starlink faster, more reliable, and accidentally more secure? Oops!!! 🙂 For 5 weeks I've been testing and working hard to answer these questions for you!
** NOTE ** A additional internet connection is required for "bonding" but is not limited to 2 connections and can be more depending on how many you have available. Also, your smartphone can be used as one of the additional internet connections.
How do I make Starlink faster?
How do I make Starlink more stable?
How do I make Starlink more secure?
Can I live stream with Starlink?
    Can I prevent outages?

I had a lot of issues when I first got Speedify, then I realised I couldn’t rely on the “fastest server” feature and needed every day to try a few of my local servers until I found one that ran solid.
I’m using my mobile tethered to pc with starlink. If I’m live-streaming or on zoom calls, I need to run them on the redundant setting and then I get a clean connection. 👌🏼💎
Worth the effort to work it out, there’s not many options otherwise.

as back up i have DSL from local phone co. i can not get anything faster on the ground.... I am in a rural area.
I have StartLink (router internet to dongle) to Ethernet then to (managed switch Linksys se3008v2) then to ps5 and to (28port managed switch lgs528 Linksys) then to 2 laptops and 3 computers. ( i know i shouldn't be using a switch behind a switch ... I just found this out after doing some research )
I also have 2 "routers" cisco rv325 and TP-link " load balancer" (TL-R480T+) not used right now
I know i can down load software to laptops and phone and computer....but to routers or switches or ps5?? do i need to setup and computer server with software on it then to switches??
maybe i will just contact their tec support to investigate..... my setup further... thanks again !!

Awesome. This is a modern version of what Boeing Computer Services was doing in 1978 with mainframe computers and satellite data links. They were after super reliability on systems used by the government and military. They simulated all sorts of massive failures: power outages, disk pack crashes, data corruption, data center complete losses, you name it. It just ran... Of course, the data centers we had back then probably had about the same capacity as today's cell phones. ;)

Sorry man but I need to ask a question unrelated to this specific video. I just saw on my Starlink account page that I now have the option to change service types from the RV service I've had for a year to Residential service. I've waited 3 years for Residential. Now, after waiting for so long and after watching some of your videos, I don't know if I want to. What will I really be gaining? My speeds now are 50-120 up during the day but as low as 3 from 6pm to 10pm. Yes the TV struggles. Will I gain speed and more specifically a more even and consistant number in speeds?

While I actually do not have Starlink, I frequently watch and enjoy your videos.
Looking at your list of routers you've tried. I couldn't help but notice no ASUS Routers on your list. Years ago I bought what was the baddest, meanest, fastest router it was an ASUS RT-AC1750. One of the first AC dual band routers. It did a couple of years ago die. I replaced it with, yes another ASUS. The newer RT-AX86U, while it only has one 2.5Gbs port, it has one. It's wicked fast, has a MESH Mode, does load balancing, and fail over.
My current provider is [gag] Spectrum. When Spectrum fails I simply connect my cell phone to a USB port and my apartment maintains internet.
I'd really be interested in how well an ASUS AX router would fare in your testing methodology.

TABOO CONFIGURATION SEEMS TO WORK JUST GREAT!
    Greetings J!
I realize this question is the off-topic to this video. Sorry bout that! Thanks also for your response to my question about a year ago regarding use of the Internet Adapter. I've been a long-time subscriber from my phone but see now a separate subscription is needed from my computer.
Anyway, in the early days of StarLink during and shortly after beta, there was much discussion about how to connect the StarLink router to an existing WiFi network. Part of that discussion included how to gain access to the StarLink App if the SL Router is bypassed. Further, there was more discussion about potential interference caused by not bypassing the StarLink Router and simply assigning a different SSID to the connected second Router.
For many months now I have been running the StarLink Router with one SSID and the second Router (connected via the adapter) on a different SSID. While this configuration seems to work fine, the only issue was that I'd need to login to the StarLink Router's SSID in order to open the StarLink App. More recently, however, the StarLink App appears to open just fine even when I'm logged into the second router's SSID. Seems strange but it appears that, while I'm logged into the second SSID, when opening the StarLink App it appears to connect to the StarLink's SSID and works fine. I only say this as the App shows connected to the StarLink SSID but my phone shows connection to the second SSID. Must have been included in the recent App update???
So my question goes back to potential interference with running the two different SSIDs with my configuration. The two routers are literally 3' from each other yet all seems to work perfectly fine and speeds have been great (with the caveats of known StarLink speed issues over recent months). What am I missing? My configuration seems to be Taboo yet it works great? And now its even better not having to switch SSIDs in order to open the StarLink App.
Appreciate any insight you might have in this regards,
    Best,
    Rich

So this installs on individual devices and is not a substitution for a multi-wan router, if I understand all this correctly. So, it's kinda apples and oranges. Nor will it help with ip cameras for security as they generally can't run apps, so you can't port forward into them utilizing this. I can see how it would help you with your streaming your podcasts, etc., and it was informative to learn about the types of bonding. UTT doesn't have posts on its facebook page in the last two ? years or so and someone on Amazon commented they are no longer manufacturing, but I've asked them if their router you mentioned will help get around Starlink's failure to allow port forwarding if the second WAN does allow port forwarding, but is not the primary. Will see if they respond.
