Lyrics:
I ran away in floods of shame
I'll never tell how close I came
As I cross the Holland road
You went left and I went right
As the moon hung proud and white
You would have loved it here tonight
Spin me round just to pin me down
On the cover of this strange bed
Spin me round just to pin me dowm
Roll out your questions keep them down
Let the water lead us home
And I was sorry for what I'd done
You were young I was not old
But our story was not told
But torn apart by greedy hands
Spin me round just to pin me down
On the cover of this strange bed
spin me round just to pin me down
Spin me round just to pin me down
I'll be gone by the nights end
Spin me round just to pin me down
But I'll be home in a little while
Lover I'll be home
And I'll be home in a little while
Lover I'll be home
And I'll be home in a little while
Lover I'll be home
And I'll be homw in a little while
Lover I'll be home

I don't own the rights to this track or any Mumford & Sons music.
2022 and still not on Spotify - We‘ll never lose our hope!
2024 still not on Spotify
2024 anyone?
2024 anyone?
Hoping this is on Spotify in 2024!!!!!!!!!!
My best friend sang me this song after he told me he liked me and I turned him down<3 means the world to me and now that he's gone I dedicate this comment to Collin Ridges. **April 12, 1995- March 3, 2013**
2023 still not on Spotify.. so sad
My son took his own life this past week right after he got out of the Marine Corps. This song is so therapeutic in the days before we fly his body home and bury him. I’m so glad I found this. He had a Mumford and sons Rolling Stone poster in his room in high school. 😭❤️
Spin me round just to pin me down
Imo this is the BEST m&s song theyve ever made, its nothing like there old music, this song has helped with so many of my mental struggles
2021 and one of their best songs is still lurking in the backwaters of CZcams. Discovered this 7 years ago and still one of their greatest songs!!
How come this song is so underground? I consider it one of their best.
I'm trying to be an MMA fighter. Last year I was stabbed multiple times and even though I'm back at the gym I constantly have fears and doubts that I can no longer do mma professionally because of what happened. The opening lines of "I ran away in floods of shame. I'll never tell how close I came." Reminds me why I need to keep trying because I don't want to live my life with the regret of wondering what I could have done. It's a beautiful song.
I listen to different stuff, Passenger, Of Monsters a Men a little, Lumineers etc, but it always comes back to Mumford and Sons.
For real though we're in 2020 and if I ever met Marcus Mumford, I'm gonna say to him bro why didn't you put this absolute masterpiece of a song into an album or even a single, it's so damn good!
Man this blows the shit out of their new stuff. In my opinion. Wish they'd put this out as a single.
when i listened to this song for the first time, i decided that if i had the choice, 'home' would be the song to listen to before i die. wasn't even drunk, it just gave me the chills like no other song before.
Just wow. I need this Song on Spotify, perhaps it is the best. Who agrees?
Anyone here remember TheFryersmuck? What a great guy. Sad to see him not on CZcams anymore :( He really made Mumford and Sons a joy to listen to while reading his enlightening, funny, and sometimes sad stories. They were very thought provoking. Wherever you are TheFryersmuck, we all wish you the best and we miss you <3
2020 anyone?
