This song reminds me of that heartbreaking moment you sometimes encounter with someone you genuinely care about, where things don't work out despite your best efforts. You spin your wheels over and over, with this faint hopefulness, and then eventually the dark parts of both of you squelch out the joyous, loving feelings you once had. This hits home with all of that for me. Very many feels. How many? So many

I’m moving home next week… my best friend is coming to get me. I moved here expecting my life to grow and to get over the loss of my grandfather and one of my best friends. Things didn’t turn out. Six months ago I was ready to be done with this world but something kept me here. While I was sitting here packing all that kept coming to the back of my mind is ‘I’m going back to Kansas City’ with all the pain and abandonment I feel right now. I’ll take this bitter sweet remedy. Thank you for this.

Even if Dylan didn't sing this song i still get his vive out of it. They did ana amazing job and his voice gives it a deeper meaning. I came here because someone was talking about how the lyrics were amazing. So here i am, and I'm not disappointed. Proof that Dylan as a poet is timeless.
