Correction of information. BATIK uniforms in Indonesia are used by all students (not just Muslims) because BATIK uniforms are one of the mandatory formal uniforms. It is not only used in state schools but also private schools in Indonesia. Usually the Batik that each student uses has various motifs and that is very cool.

If you ever hear about "asian stereotypes" china is definitely the best example of that, one of them is how strict their parents are.
Which is quite true for me, I'm Asian and our parents are stricter than what i usually hear from westerners

In Kazakhstan personally my schools had MUCH longer hours and strict rules. Middle school we started from 7AM to 2PM and the teachers would always demand to tie your hair even if it's short I was told to use hairpin and such. They complained about dyed hair and painted nails too (I didn't have neither but others did)
Uniform is White top, black bottom. You can wear a jacket or a waistcoat. 1-4th grade is elementary but some people took "0th grade"(a grade before 1st grade).5th-8th grade is middle/junior high, 9th-11th/12th is high school. You get free meals in elementary then starting middle you have to bring your own food or buy in cafeteria
We had saturday clean up days and some days starting middle school there's duty days where you have to stand on duty during breaks (mostly watching kids and telling them not to run in the halls)

@@shimchim9571For the one hour recess, I'm pretty sure she's referring to a prayer + lunch break. I've been in both private and public school and what she's saying is somewhat true. In my public school where the majority of the student is Muslims, they'll usually go and pray and then we're having lunch after. Which usually takes one hour. Same goes during my time in private school where the majority is Buddhist, the difference is, it's only applied to the middle schoolers. While us high schoolers, only have approximately 30 minutes break (Prayer + Lunch).
She could've explained it better obviously. I'm surprised she didn't mentioned anything about the cantee and the cleaning time. Maybe she did mentioned it but it just got cuts off due to the duration.

I feel like Japanese people have a better chance of learning English overseas than in Japan since a lot of Japanese people have difficulty learning English domestically unless they studied really hard but I don't know how it can it be fixed in Japan and both China and Korea have how do I say it more success learning English in either domestically and overseas and at least young Koreans can learn English in the Philippines since it's a warmer climate and more affordable.

In India we mostly only get lunch time, which is called interval. I used to get only 15-20 minutes while most schools would give 30-40 minutes.
We didn’t get lunch from schools as well. Although many government schools do offer meals. I never brought lunch to school either. I would go to cafeteria (canteen) to get something to eat. Many school even don’t have cafeterias. 😅
Our break used to start around 10 AM. We had a morning school. (7am to 1pm). Few school run in afternoon shifts and few schools run both.
Before our schools can even start we need to attend the assembly. Here we pray and do some morning rituals. (Like hearing announcements or news).
Our classes are often divided into periods. Each period can last upto 30-40 minutes. Each day we would have 8-10 periods.

And we also had strict rules like teachers often check our clothing items for school on the school ground before we enter the room, something like check your Clothes, your shoes, your uniforms and applets and ect, And if your stuff is incomplete and you're wearing colored shoes, don't ever expect to be able to enter the room unless your teacher has a patient personality LOL, but i missed my School Day 😃😃😊😊

From class 1st to 5th we call it primary school. In few regions they call it basic school.
From class 6th to 8th we call it upper primary school and in few area its called middle school.
9th and 10th is called secondary school or high school in few area.
and 11th and 12th is called senior secondary school / senior high school / inter college school.
We follow government curriculum also known as school boards. Schools can either follow central board or state boards.
Most annual exams are conducted by schools, except for class 10th and 12th where exams are conducted by the boards. We call them board exams. In few area you also have board exams in class 5th and 8th.
In class 11th we choose our stream for higher studies. We have three streams- Science / Commerce / Arts or Humanities. Once we choose our streams we only study subjects which are related to our streams.
We learn at least 3 languages in our school journey. Few learn 4 and 5. For me we learnt Hindi / English / Sanskrit.
Once we clear our board exams in class 12, we must fight entrance exams for different college courses.

The way Saree describe charter school sounds insane to me like there isn't enough time to eat lunch I mean why? That's like really important for a growing child to eat lunch and the other strict rules sounded ridiculous but at least Saree switched to a public elementary school to have enough free time to eat lunch and have recess.

Exactly, she knows absolutely nothing about Iran and only is spreading misinformation about Iranians. It's frustrating having to listen to her. Can't this channel get an actual Persian to represent Iran on the panel or at least leave Iranians completely out if the only option is someone clueless who is constantly spouting nonsense about Persians?

Back in the 80s-90s, I remember korean teachers physically hit students, pull students upwards by the hair above the ears, no school busses but students even in 1st grade took public bus, more male teachers than female teachers.
