Thank you for sharing! Great video and I love your kitties!! I love this brand of humidifier. I just bought this model, to replace my old model. I accidently uncoupled the very difficult part to clean. Your video helped me to put it back together. Lol But when you take them apart, it's so much easier to clean. Maybe I should make a video on that!? 😂 I wish the top part came apart too, in order to clean easier.

The round part that shoots out the vapors there’s two pieces that come out of there making it easier to clean
Thank you for making this video! I was struggling to get into all the small crevices, but admittedly my humidifier was pretty bad 💀 oops!
I have not been able to use my humidifier now for about 3 months because I took apart the part that you said was difficult.. I took it apart and now I can't figure out how to put that flat brown part back in that has the straight side.. My humidifiers not working and I get an error and I'm not able to put the lid on all the way on the top.
I just bought this humidifier and I'm so nervous about owning something so expensive that I've never owned before so this was very helpful thank you very much. Did you have to order the extra filters or did it come with some? (Probably something I should've checked before ordering!)
It comes with one or two extra and one in it to start :) It's easy to care for though. Just be sure to sit it on a flat hard surface and not carpet!

I made a mistake in my last message. So the long white tube part that is the most difficult to clean inside is the part where I snapped all those little pieces off and I'm having trouble putting that part back together with that white flat round part that has the straight edge on it.
Has the rubberized coating on the atomizing plate (the black piece inside the base) worn away at all? It's peeling away on mine and I don't know if it's a common thing. I've only had mine for 2 weeks!

Great video! Leaning towards the newer model - SH8830. My hesitation is the ease of cleaning. It looks like easy access to all the areas of the old model. Specifically not so with the newer version due to the top of the water tank not being completely uncovered and the mist tube being incorporated within the tank. Is cleaning still fairly easy?
I recommend the older version, cleaning is wayy easier with the old model

so it is possible to clean all the parts , the vibration part etc, with vinegar? And is it really possible to let it run with a little bit vinegar in the water? because in the manual it says: never use chemical products or neutral detergents etc on the vibration parts because performance will be dimished?
In my reading and research, that is how most humidifiers are cleaned, yes.

Mines not turning back on after I plugged it in, I did rinse the inside with soap and water I didn’t even find this video before. Wonder if there’s water damage or something on the inside from me rinsing and shaking it up?

can you use soap and water to clean the humidifier or vinegar and water only?
I have never read about using soap nor have I tried soap, so I am not sure.
The maintenance instructions in the owners manual says to clean with a few drops of dish soap so I’m sure you’re fine just using that ☺️
Any ideas why mind won't turn back on after doing all this?
Mine didn’t come back on until a few days later…I think its because we “wet” something that wasn’t suppose to be wet and it had to completely dry

The mist stop coming out on our elechomes. Basically i turn it on and set the humidity level. After some time the mist eventually stops coming out. We have newly purchased ours and i was wondering if this is normal.
I'd reach out to them. Could be that you have a timer on it. It reached the humidity you've set it to, or it could be out of water
Same here. I just bought mine as well. I reached out to them and they suggested I try cleaning the atomizing plate (which brought me to this video actually). I will see if that works. But they may also just have to send a new one.

How often do you get the 002 error? I ran mine brand new for an entire week with tap water, *never used the heater setting*, and now I get the 002 every day.

I'm wondering if anybody knows about this but I just purchased this same model and it was used and I got a really good price on it from Amazon but when I plugged it in it supposed to show right away? The humidity level in that particular room? This just seems to have a high level at about 57% right when I plugged it in and I know we don't have humidity at all anywhere near that. I'm wondering if that is a fault of the unit?
I am not sure, I'd reach out to the company. I believe mine needs some time to measure the actual humidity once plugged in though.
@@ElizabethPlants I got it figured out I see what's going on here. And I think you're right it takes just a short time to accurately figure out the existing moisture or humidity in that room and then it does automatically compensate for it by dispersing humidity on and off until it reaches the desired level and then it automatically shuts off.

@@ElizabethPlants wow your tap water is clean. I live in London and we have a HUGE limescale hard water problem. My kettle gets coated in a week and it’s a very good kettle against limescale!!
I used vinegar with water. I plugged it back in and it won't come on :(
Unfortunately, I cannot troubleshoot as I am just a fan, not a techie. But if you've tried everything you can think of, I'd recommend reaching out to the company

This humidifier is really bad, I constantly get the 002 error and this happens daily!
Their instructions walk you through how to troubleshoot that. If your product is just defective, it happens, communicate that to them so they can help...
the base.looks more painful and awkward to clean than llevoit. LEVOIT base is easy accessible but this has the sides of the casing .
Levoit cleaning the tank is hassle cause opening ... but based.is easy yet elehomes it's oppsite way around with tank being open and easy but base being cramped .
the only real perk this has is the arroma tray is in funnel which makes.sence.over.levoit tray which is pointless. Question is does the aroma pad give.of a better aroma in elehomes over.the levoit? cause the aroma pad in levoit is silly and pointless cause no matter how much and strong oil u put ...u still can't smell it.
I do not believe the base feels cramped. Its about preference really. But I do not use aroma trays, so I am unsure of any difference
