Couldn’t you use Gellar Field Generators to cut off a Synapse, then kill it to stop upload? Utilizing Skitarii or the like, and use fire to incinerate the corpse denying biomass and assimilation of the corpse memories? If you played like that, rigging a nuke on your Gellar Field if it goes down. You’d presumably only be facing a hideous and conventional mob. Further, your Elite Troops could be rigged to vaporize a certain locality if captured anyway. Denying them any working biomass containing worthwhile understanding any. Rig it right, and one can be distributed through out the ranks so they aren’t clumped up enough to destroy eachother.
This would mean you had something like footing to give proper strategy and tactics a more conventional rate of change. You only need a Destroyer to carry your Gellar Field Generator, and presumably you could have Carriers of some design carry ones that can be set down into a static emplacement. Moving them as the battle lines move.

29:21 wtf? Tyranid bio-titan Hierophant wieghs about 50 tonnes? really?
German Tiger tank from WW2 had more or less the same weight .
And I checked the Lexicanum and Leman Russ battletank weighs 50 tonnes.
I couldnt find the weight of Warlord titan but smaller Warhound scout titan weighs 410 tonnes!
( Warhound has the Height about 14 meters and Hierophant 15 meters. )
Hierophant could be more agile but I still think that in battle the Warlord would step on Hierophant and crush it
like a oversized bug it is.

It seems very low, yeah, that’s about as heavy as a small blue whale, who isn’t heavily armored. But they are long ranged artillery monsters but still. A titan could punch away one leg and that thing is down.

I have been following 40k since its inception. I enjoyed it for a long time. In my opinion the entrance of the nids ruined the game as well as the general flow of the game. They are an unnecessary addition to an already dark universe. Essentially you have an unstoppable force of nature from outside the universe that can adapt to any and all threats. They literally have no weakness what so ever. I miss the good old days when it was just humans, eldar and a smattering of others. Just my two cents, but I can do without the nids.

Nids were my first army and therefore introduction to 40K. In my friend group everyone "claimed" an army and got pissy if someone else wanted to play them. So guard, marines, orks, eldar, even the freaking squats were all claimed so I was stuck between either Chaos or the brand new bug race, when Necrons and later Tau were introduced they were snapped up before I even knew about them, seriously my first "codex" was a pamphlet that I think was included with a copy of white dwarf, I think I was limited to the hive tyrant, carnifex, genestealer, warrior, and termigants? Maybe? Practically no options at all for wargear. I got stomped constantly. I remember when I finally got a real codex and I practically giggled with glee, my friends were less happy about it lol. I have some good memories finally nomming my friends armies. I did finally try out Chaos and later Guard with different people but the bugs still have a special place to me.
TL;DR: because my group was uber possessive the nids were my first army that got me into Warhammer 40K, without them I would never have gotten started.
