@@Maks-tc5sc Not really unless we are talking AMG models. We have an e220 cdi it's done over 1.2m km no big issues. A B C E class are easy to maintain.

Snazzy Labs I know. I'm spoiled after being stationed in Germany for three years where it is illegal to even think about the left lane except for passing and equally as illegal to pass on the right. Here in California it's often the case that if there are three or more lanes the left two are stuck going the speed limit (even though everyone is trying to go 10mph over) and the right one is empty. Even semi trucks seem avoid the right lane.
His extended warranty is expiring in about 6 months :(

Unbelievable. It only felt like a year ago since he bought his E63. Just 2 months left until it expires. Time really does go by frighteningly fast when you become an adult.
21mpg 1200 miles would cost over $350 in Europe and if you add the tolls, $500+.
Doing this in USA you'll end up paying $150 for petrol. God damn what a beautiful country

Which toll?
There is only toll in France. And some in Austria, but generally you will be driving in Germany, and Netherlands. Because you want to be there. So it is only 350$. But if you fuel in Luxemburg it is much less. So that means it is about same money in Europe. You can drive as fast as your want. Without police trying to harass or shoot you. Plus you don’t have any flying bullets which might kill you.

Actually they were probably being safe. I was on the highway in NJ and I was next to a truck who cut off a tour bus, who was also cut off by another truck. Both trucks had trailers.

This video was one of the inspirations behind me getting an '11 E350 wagon about a year and a half ago and driving it 2,000 miles home. I ended up sleeping it it several nights and it wasn't bad at all. It was a great trip, and a great decision to buy it. I'd love to see more videos about yours!

SW's are so much better than SUV's in terms of handling, consumption and performance (with equal power), load capacity etc.
Each time I drive an SUV, I'm like "oh how cool it feels to seat that high"...and then the first corner appears and I instantly regret sedans or SW's.

It depends on what SUV you're talking about, I've driven an older Cayenne and I was quite impressed by the handling. You can usually load more stuff in a SUV too.

Adrian P Yes. I would order clear side markers on eBay, and then take them to a body shop to have them color matched. That way you can return to stock if needed. On one of my cars, they used this paint that lets the light still show as normal at night. Although it's technically illegal, having them painted white, I doubt police will ever notice (compared to having them tinted black). They'll just think it's a headlight washer cover.

Remember Doug; you CAN get a 360 camera system aftermarket, it involves installing four little fisheye cameras around your car and installing a little video combiner box in your dash and feeding it into a video input in your head unit. They cost about $350 on Amazon and work very well
X5 is amazing, my uncle has one. For a family SUV with performance. I enjoyed it. That Doug is one of a kind, perfect stealer.
Doug, I really do love your new wagon. So much so I had to go back and watch it again after viewing your new "A class" Benz video. As awesome as the new A class is, I think this or the R63 is a much better over all buy. IF your going to sink that much money in to a middle of the road Benz, might as well make sure your going to love it's features. I must say, lovely.

Nice purchase...would like a 2 year update soon...considering one myself, surprised the interior color is a miss for you. It is "classic" MB...same interior on everyone I rode in back in the 70s and 80s.
11:50 that depends on the state Dougie - in California that is called the carpool/diamond-lane which is actually 100% okay to cruise in and IS the fast lane but can only be used by cars with 2, sometimes 3, or more passengers during specific hours and after those hours and weekends is completely ok for anyone to use for cruising so long as they are not going slow.

I like the beige. It's a bit ugly but it's fairly good at covering up dirt and it doesn't heat up as much as darker colors in the sun.
