Thank you
It would be nice if there was an option on the grilles đđđŒ
Currently have SKW-658 Onkyo sub (max 150 watts). I was going to buy the PB 3000 but did comparison on Crutchfield. They were too close in spec to warrant paying more for the 3000. The 2000 is a big upgrade for me so I'll save a bit of cash and still upgrade.
Absolutely, my friend. You will experience a huge upgrade coming form the Onkyo sub. I have no doubt you will be impressed...cheers.
How would you compare this to the SVC PB 1000 Pro?
Is there any risk just leaving the grills off?
I have it coming Friday cant wait
Right on brother, I am sure you will love it!
I just got mine at Best Buy for 699 open box. Got the port plugs for free and switched the setting to sealed. It sounds amazing and you can feel it. I can only imagine the 3000..............
Nice work, that is a great price!
@Anthony willett I hope Best Buy purchase will still allow me to trade up.. I love this sub.. but I keep thinking about the 3000
Thank you for a great review . I am thinking to get 2 of those .
No problem brother. They are great performers for a 12". What is your bass end goal? What kind of bass do you want?
Spec Of Tech i am remodeling my home theater to a 7.2.4 DOLBY ATMOS . I already got 2 KLIPSCH RF-7 III ( FRONT L& R ) RC-64 ( center ) side surrounds Klipsh pro 250RPW , Pro 180RPW And DS-180cdt in ceiling . I am looking for a solid Bass not too xtreme( my wife hates bass) for the price those are the best choice !
@@optimusvader7823 Sounds like an amazing set up brother!
Spec Of Tech thank you , right now i am got most of the speakers just need to get the subwoofers and the Receiver . I hope everything goes like am planing . I am getting help from some really good guys experience in home theater !
finally a good video keep making them
I have the sb1000, I prefer the sealed sound, but now we have a bigger house and I'm wanting 3000 but my s.o. doesn't seem to be crazy about more slam. So I got a new entertainment center bdi element so maybe it will win me some waf.
good video what I would like to see in the future add the specs on the video so people can see them (I see this on big YT channels I find you can visualize better seeing the numbers)
you should review your tone winner next I'm very curious they seem to be very good and price is very good to. 5x300w for 1500$ is pretty good. 7x300w for 1700$ these are usually in the 2K+ range for all channels driven watts.
I will work on in incorporating that.
THANKS for sharing man.. đđđ
No problem brother, thanks for watching.
Man i heard it loose the mid base what's your opinion?đ„
Hey Man, love the video! Your use of b-roll really shows off the sub working hard and great video quality as well! What are you filming with?
Hey, thanks for the support brother. I am using the Panasonic G7 with the kit lens for the b roll.
@@SpecOfTech Thanks man. We just got a GH5S and that thing is awesome. I was watching some of your other content, you have an awesome collection of gear. @@WhyBuy Email me at shaw_21@msn.com, thanks!
I just ordered one of these, and in Canada they cost $1200. A little nervous as Iâm replacing a cerwin Vega xls15s. So Iâm switching from a 15 to a 12 and paying twice as much. The amp died in my cerwin and I canât find parts, so Iâm really hoping this is an upgrade in quality even though itâs a smaller sub. So far every review I read or watch is telling me that svs is superior to cerwin, and I sure hope they are right. The 15 inch cerwin could pound, but was a little soft and muddy in the sound. Iâm hoping for tighter, cleaner sound but I still want my room to shake. This video helps me think my windows should still rattle.
How do you like the pb2000 pro now?
@@Professor5180 fantastic. Way better than the cerwin. The cerwin was boomy and basically one amplified bass tone. The svs has depth. Gives bass where bass is required and not where it's not. And the opening to The Edge of Tomorrow has a bass that hits so hard and deep it puts the 15 inch cerwin to shame. It also hits 16hz which I've never heard (or felt) something so deep from the cerwin. Truely happy with the upgrade. If you are looking to just show off lots of bass then cerwins are good, but if you want clarity and clean accurate bass then this SVS is amazing. I now have it paired with a couple klipsch RP-8000f and just got the RP-504c and they all go together so well.
Me watching this patiently waiting for my 2000 pro to get here...
Thats awesome man, what is it replacing?
This is replacing a JBL Studio SUB550P upstairs! Downstairs, I have a Ultimax 18" powered with a Crown XLS1502. No expecting it to be as loud as the Ultimax, but I think it will do the trick.
@@03WRXFORME What box are you using for the Ultimax? Yeah man, these do well for a 12" driver. You shouldn't be disappointed.
It is a Denovo knockdown box from Parts Express (4 cubes) sealed. That subwoofer digs deep! I can't even imagine going dual with it.
@@03WRXFORME For sure, that Ultimax offers great bang for the buck.
I was considering the PB-2000 Pro but after finding out they don't have that mid-bass slam I crave, I now have my sights set on the PB-3000.
The PB3000 is the sweet spot for performance to price ratio, great choice man.
Why they don't have mid base shit is very important đ„ now i have to take pb3000
@@kuriakos36 I'm new to this so what is mid-bass slam?
@@bustercolin7507 the higher tone range may sound weak or sloppy from the pb 2000 pro but I know people go on and on about how good the 3000 is for the mid bass
Good news as I just got a pb2000 pro and will be using for low bass
Just ordered this, it cost 1500$, not to bad, it is going with my b&w 702 s2 , cant wait :)
How sounds??
great job!
Thanks for the support man.
What music were you using to get the base excursion? Thanks
Hopex - Movie
This is the one with the most excursion in the video I believe.
I'm running dual PB2000 Pro's without the grills and love them.
Nice, I like these subs, great for the price.
Did going dual make a huge difference, I've got one of them in an 11 x 11 x 7 room, and it sounds amazing. Thanks
@@jasonh8467 Going duals will increase the overall DB in the room as long as you have some concern to placement (attempt to get them working together). It will also give a smoother response around the room.
Jason H YES. My room is 14 X 18 X 7.6 H. If you think one is good you wonât believe how good duals sound. My money seat is 15â away. Music and movies are epic.
My seat is around 5ft from my front speakers and TV. Would love to go dual though, thanks for the advice.
I enjoy watching your videos. I'm hoping you can help answer a question. I have a pair of Klipsch R120SW coming of 2 sub preouts off my Denon AVRX6700H. I want to add this Pb2000. The plan is to do a Y split to the R120's and the second preout to this Pb2000. Would be interesting to see what you think about that setup.
When mixing subwoofers with different port tunes, you can deal with some cancellations at certain frequencies. But, your y splitter idea will work just fine for getting the signal to the subwoofers. If I can suggest something, I would recommend getting a UMIK-1 and downloading some free software called REW. You can then run sweeps to see how they are working together.
@@SpecOfTech Thank you đđ»
Every time you split an rca connection, there is a 3dB loss
Does Summit HiFi have a storefront location in the GTA where various SVS subs can actually be heard in person?
Yes he does, by appointment only. Here is his website link, scroll to the bottom and you will see his phone number.
www.summithifi.com/
I'm debating between these or a pair of PB3000's to pressurize a 14x19 room.
I could opt for the 2000's first, try them out, and for any reason I feel I need more low end , I'll trade them in for the 3000's.
Your thoughts?
I think you have a pretty solid plan. That is why I love the SVS bill of rights you can return and trade up with little hassle. IMO though, the PB3000 is the sweet spot for the SVS subwoofers as far as performance to cost ratio.
Great thoughts but I'd love to have dual PB1000 Pros in that size room and be grinning all along! At least they would have some work! If you know what I meant!đ
Any ETA on when you plan to review the svs PB3000?
I can't say for sure. I need to be able to find one that won't break the bank. Right now almost everything I review I pay for out of my own pocket, so I have to be careful how much I spend.
MR. how to connect this pair of SVS PB-2000 PRO in front, and other pair of SVS SB12-NSD in rear? And how to calibrate 4 subs? AVR Onkyo 3007. Thanks for reply. Nenad
Well truthfully, the best answer for those questions is a Minidsp 2x4. That way you can hook up all 4 subs without a Y splitter, and you can use the minidsp to integrate the 4 subs. You will also need Room Eq Wizard (free software) and Minidsp Umik-1 to measure the room response. Hope this helps...cheers
Thanks.@@SpecOfTech
Check out home theater gurus on CZcams , has a great video on multiple subs and REW with mini dsp 2x4 HD
how is music with this? Conflicted between the sb 2000 pro and the pb 2000 pro. Any advice?
Great thing about the PB2000 Pro is you can run it in sealed mode. Just make sure to ask for the port plugs. Best of both worlds. Even in ported mode the SVS subs are quite good with music. Good quality bass all around. Don't hesitate to buy either the SB or the PB, but I would recommend the PB for its versatility.
@@SpecOfTech Thanks a lot and I really appreciate the quick answer!
@@RJ-xj3ct No problem, glad to help.
What other sub alternatives would you suggest for superior performance in this price range or below?
I would suggest the HSU Research VTF 15H MK2. That is assuming that you are in the USA. HSU doesn't retain it's performance value if shipped outside the USA. The other I would recommend is a DIY subwoofer, 15" Dayton Ultimax maybe.
Spec Of Tech Thanks for your quick response!
@@Trinity4me No problem brother, hope it helps!
Hi i have one love it do you set the 3 eq parimatric on the svs app if so what you have them set to
Thats awesome man. I no long have the PB2000 sub.
Spec Of Tech what do you have now do you know what the best settings are in the svs eq
@@Samzep Watch some of my latest videos and you will see the awesome subs I have nowđ. Regarding, your sub you would need to take measurements using Room Eq Wizard (free software) and Calibrated USB mic (Minidsp Umik-1), then make adjustments based on that. It will also help you wil proper placement. All rooms are different when it comes to subwoofer response, so it is impossible for me to tell you what the best settings are for your room, sorry.
Spec Of Tech agree I donât want to buy minidsp mabey i should just get the mic and see what the graph says with my sub it sounds amazing where i placed it as thats the best bass when i did the crawl and have done the odyssey with odyssey eq on just not sure about the boost on the svs eq app if to have it on - or 3.0 boost when say on 24hz it seems to sound great at 3.0 boost
Does the grill off the pb12 or the pb2000 fit the pro ?
Yes, according to SVS the PB2000 grill will fit the PB2000 Pro!
Does the svs pb2000 much louder than the new klipsch spl 120? Will I notice huge difference between them? How about longevity?
The PB2000 Pro will out perform the SPL120, but a noticeable margin. It will play lower and most likely cleaner as well.

Sorry man, this video was a while ago, I can't remember. I know that I just looked up copyright free songs on CZcams for it, but I can't remember anything else. I tried to Shazaam it, but nothing came up. Cheers!
@@SpecOfTech I tried to Shazam it too thanks for trying.
Please any advice is welcome. Is the pb2000pro that much better then sb2000pro? Mainly listen to music but HT also much appreciated.
The great thing about the PB2000 pro is that you can use the port plugs to run it in sealed mode. Personally I would go with the PB2000 because of it's versatility. When you want more output for HT, run it in ported mode, when you want to listen to music, run it in sealed mode.
@@SpecOfTech thank you đ
Great video... what other subwoofer would perform better than The PB-2000 Pro for the price?
The HSU Research VTF-15H MK2 would out perform the PB2000 pro and it is also $899. For the most part this will only benefit U.S citizens. HSU Research is not easy to get in other countries and the value factor goes down quickly with all the extra fees. That is one good thing about SVS they are more readily available outside the U.S. Thanks for watching... cheers!
@@SpecOfTech you're right, I live in Malaysia and I have to make do for anything I can get here and it is SVS.
@@mohdtaufiqmohdnoor8728 I wish more companies would spread their wings and make their products more easily purchased in other countries.
@@SpecOfTech And SVS Customer Service is on another level. they replied my email pretty fast. i concur about what you said but the market for Home Theatre is getting smaller by days. SVS is brave to spread their wings to another country. kudos SVS
@@mohdtaufiqmohdnoor8728 Yeah, these other companies that hate on SVS, should maybe pay closer attention to what they are doing. They may not offer the absolute best performance for the price, but they offer great performance and a great app for their price. There is a reason they are selling so well in the market.
hi friend i need a opinion dual pb-1000 or 1 pb-2000pro or 1 pb-3000 i like to feel bass
I would go with a single PB3000 for now and then add a second PB3000 down the road. Always better to have duals, but also always better to buy the best subwoofer you can afford.
Question for you my friend,
What are your thoughts ok rythmik subwoofers?
They make some fantastic subwoofers. Some of the best bang for your buck when it comes to measurable output, very clean bass too.
@@SpecOfTech
Thanks my friend I appreciate that
@@chrisrichardson958 No problem man, glad to help.
how about duals would duals give you more of that chest hitting bass?
If duals are set up right, you would get a smoother more powerful response around the room. That would include a little better chest thump as well. But, keep in mind you are still limited by the subwoofers design capabilities. For example, I found PSA TV3612 to have a better, harder hitting midbass than SVS. But, I found SVS PB16 to have a seemingly power powerful lower end, until their inevitable fall off the 15hz cliff. The TV3612 measured quite a bit lower, down to 10hz. Long story short, 2 subwoofers will always be better than 1, but they will still only be good at the areas they are good at based on design...cheers.
@@SpecOfTech thanks for reply, Iâm just gonna go duals itâs what my budget allows me. I could have gotten dual monolith 12inch they have a little more output but those subwoofers donât come with an app. The app to me is really really useful.
@@DEADMONEY_ I have no doubt you will enjoy the PB2000 Pro. Be careful of the bass addiction though, before you know it you will want PB16's lol...cheers man.
@@SpecOfTech yea I know I already have single a pb 2000 pro wanted more bass was planning on going with a pb 4000 but then realized I would have to buy another pb 4000 for duals and its expensive and my neighbors arenât going to be happy and I would probably never turn the pb 4000 past -25 dB it would be too loud for my front speakers my front speakers wouldnât be able to keep up with the subwoofer so Iâm just going for dual 2000 pros instead since I already have 1. Bass is very addictive
Would you get dual vtf-3 mk5 hp 15â subs with 600 watts continuous, 2000 peak from JSU
The HSU would be a great subwoofer as well. You would probably get similar response, down to about 16hz. The HSU would most likely have higher output in most frequencies. In my opinion, for Americans, the HSU is the better bang for your buck if you are looking for plain performance. The one thing the SVS has over the HSU is the bluetooth app, which is very handy for some individuals who like to tweak sound preferences for music vs movies etc.
Thank you! This is helpful.
I have been reading about subs for the past year and cannot decide yet... Very interested by HSU ULS-15 MK2, but not sure how bad the shipping/freight would be for Canada. Would also need to buy a Mini-DSP...
@@makimoko In all honesty I would stay away from HSU if bringing into Canada. They really don't keep their bang for the buck ratio when coming to Canada. On top of that, for warranty they ask that you ship the sub back to them and back to yourself at your cost. That is what their sales associate told me directly. They are great bang for the buck to Americans, for Canadians...pretty much stay away unless you find a good used one.
Spec Of Tech thanks for the info! Then I guess it would be between SB2000 Pro or SB3000. Given small room (11x15 loft above garage open to staircase) I think the 2000 would be enough.
definitely a nice sub but for the price i'd go with monoprice, hands down.
If your saying it's strong now I have to try it..
What treble speaker would you pair this with?
You could really pair it with any speaker of your choosing. I would love to help you out, but I would need more information to answer it. What kind of sound do you prefer in your speakers? Do you have a favorite brand? Is it a large or small room etc etc?
@@SpecOfTech Im huge on bass but I also want to hear the treble just right. Itâs a 20x20 room. Iâd like to put 2 bass on diagonal corners and the sound treble bar with the Tv. Donât know if thatâs too much but like o mentioned, I like me some BASS đ just want that thump feeling!!

can you please get back to me I have a question how much better really is the pro version over the original SVS Pb 2000 I want to buy one but I'd like to know how much better it really is a lot better or just a tiny bit better for the price I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading
Hey Cruise, thanks for subbing. In my humble opinion, it is definitely not worth upgrading from the Pb2000 to the PB2000 Pro. The performance increase will not be noticeable. The ONLY reason that it may be somewhat worth upgrading is if you REALLY value the app functionality. Even then, I would recommend that you step up to the PB3000 instead. The PB3000 would give you a noticeable increase in performance and it also has the SVS bluetooth functionality. Hope this helps, cheers man.
I just bought the sb2000 pro and I cannot get it to give me some really good bass slam. I know it sealed subwoofer doesn't have the low heating power of a ported sub but it should sound better than this
What size of room? Have you optimized the placement? Have you run room calibration? What is the gain set at?
I have this. The only thing, in my opinion, if youâre a sealed person stick with sealed.
So between the PB2000 and PB2000 pro...how much BETTER are we talking here? My pb2000 makes earthquakes, so Im curious what the big changes are here compared to the pro. The original pb2000 is beastly.
You wouldnt notice a big difference between the 2. You would get a SLIGHT increase in freq response. You would get a LITTLE increase in output. The biggest changes are the port tuning capability and bluetooth app functionality.
Spec Of Tech perfect. Saves me $. Thanks for the reply!
So if you already have the original PB-2000 I guess it would be wiser to spend the extra money and just upgrade to the PB-3000, right?
beeavision my thoughts exactly. Pb3000 or higher would be the way to go
@@beeavision Yes, I definitely wouldnt bother getting a PB2000 Pro as an "upgrade". My advice, decide what your end game sub is and just save for those.
Two of these for $1,300 or a single PSA S3612 for $2,650?
The S3612 will out perform the PB2000 pro by a significant margin ESPECIALLY in the low end. Do you think you could add a second PSA S3612 in the future? If you think you could, than it is a no brainer, go with the S3612. If you can't add a second one in the future, then it's more of a gray area. 2 subs will always get you a better/smoother response around the room, but the single S3612 will have far better performance/output.
Right now the price difference between PB 2000 and PB 2000 Pro is $400. I doubt Iâll use the app much, so Iâm trying to figure out if itâs really worth $400 more
The app was only used once for me but well worth it. To be able to sit in your listening position and adjust your sub on the fly is was great for getting the perfect sound instead of getting up and adjusting and going to sit over and over and over until it's right. It also has a triband EQ thats much nicer to hear the change while you sit at your listening spot. The PB 2000 pro also has a more powerful amp at 550w RMS and 1500+ peak. The 2000 is 500w RMS and 1100 peak. The PB 2000pro also has double ports and it's not much but does hit 16hz compared to 17hz. I know that's nothing really but it might mean the overall lower end is stronger. And the opening to the Edge of Tomorrow does hit 16hz and holy crap does my livingroom shake.
Will the grill from the PB-2000 fit the Pro version?
Yes, I confirmed with SVS that it will fit!
@@SpecOfTech Thanks
Those dimensions donât sound right. If thatâs a 12â speakers, how can it be only 14â high?
You are absolutely right, I accidentally gave the wrong dimensions. I gave dimensions for the SB2000 pro. The correct dimensions are:
Dimensions (w/ grille): 20.9â (532mm) H X 17.3â (440mm) W X 23.6â (600mm) D
Dimensions (without grille): 20.9â (532mm) H X 17.3â (440mm) W X 22.5â (571mm) D

Your physical dimensions are way off, this would be correct...Dimensions (w/ grille): 20.9â (532mm) H X 17.3â (440mm) W X 23.6â (600mm) D
Yeah that is my bad, I screwed up. I had both of the webpages open for the SB2000 Pro and PB2000 Pro and accidentally looked at the wrong one when I gave the specs. I didn't realize this until the video was uploaded.

Rel 1205 v this sub ?
The SVS would be the clear winner in output and frequency response range. Although the REL would have a more gradual roll off and the SVS would fall off more abruptly. I would suspect the REL to be a little cleaner. Hope this helps, cheers.
Spec Of Tech i heard them both today the svs i felt more the the rel in the thumps and explosions yes the rel is cleaner the svs going to cos me 400 Australia dollars more i must admit i love feeling the sub in

@@Samzep For me personally, I would choose the SVS over the REL as well.
how does this compare to monolith 12''?
I have never reviewed the Monolith 12, but I imagine the Mono 12 would have a lower frequency response, but the PB2000 pro would have a higher output in the higher frequencies.
@@SpecOfTech i think the opposite is true. Pb2000 pro goes lower, while Mono 12 has a bit higher output.

@@georgexydous2891 That is a fair sized room. I would say this...if you are happy with the performance from the FSW100, you will be more than pleased with the step up to the PB2000 Pro. It will perform significantly better than that Yamaha. Let me know what you think after you get it, cheers.
Hello nice video.. i have a question how much did u pay for pb2000 pro? Cause i want to get one for myself too.. thanks!!!
The PB2000 Pro is $899 USD, good luck on the purchase my friend :)!
@@SpecOfTech oh ok i thought was $899 canadian,, cause i was just talkin to aamir about the pb2000 pro and he said was $1259.. is your name derek? Btw i like all your vids,, now my question is? Is the pb 2000 pro is it a great sub?
@@dennislabrador3554 Oh lol, no it's $899 USD. My name is Barrett. Thanks for watching my videos buddy! The the PB2000 Pro is a great sub for a 12", great output for sure!
@@SpecOfTech opps sorry barret.. where u from? Yes i can't wait to get mine, aamir said the pb 2000 pro it's commin mid june, cause he's out of stock right now.. im excited about the latest one which is the pro.. thanks for all your info barret.. thnks
@@SpecOfTech oh btw.. what is the difference the pb-2000 and the pb-2000 pro? Thanks barret
Svs pb 2000 pro vs orignal pb 2000???
The PB2000 Pro has the slight edge on performance and the bluetooth app.
Spec Of Tech ok thanks, I subbed for your useful info. I am getting a really good deal on the pb 2000 (300 dollars Canadian off of original 1029 dollars). I will purchase the pb2000 and maybe buy the pro later on. Hopefully mixing subwoofers isnât that bad.
@@jattposti8015 Thanks for the sub man. Glad you were able to find one for a deal. As long as both subs are ported, you should be able to get them to play together. Using REW and a minidsp can help with that if you are having issues.
The dimensions you listed are for the SB-2000 Pro, not the PB ;)
Yeah I know lol, I screwed up. I had the pages for the SB and PB open and mistakenly read out the SB measurements. My stupidity is forever recorded and posted on YT lmao. Cheers man.
@@SpecOfTech lol, understandable. Didnt know if you had caught it. Good video đ
@@robscorner7012 I appreciate you pointing it out, but yeah, it was caught early on.
thats why you dont buy the demo version, they rip that rubber straight right out from the box
You can contact them and order the metal grill.
Thats good to know, thanks man.
Np itâs the same grill from the old pb 2000.
@@Sneadt Glad to see they still offer it. Do you know if they charge for it?
Spec Of Tech I got my info from subwoofer101 he is an affiliate with them. He said it would most likely be a charge.
@@Sneadt Thanks again for the info man!
Is ur room small? Shook movies of, i have 2 pb 3000 and nothing even rumbles here. My living room is about 45 cubic feet, kinda dissapinted with the dual 3000's
If you use them in pairs like SVS recommends they will knock your socks off.
Get monolith instead. Bought the monolith 10 , it shook my 3 story house.
I do not agree with the part where he says the metal grill is better. I personnally think the new grill is an upgrade. I hate metal grills. They have a more industrial look and I don't think it looks good at all in a home. I prefer a more classy approach and I am glad SVS changed the grill. This is a matter of opinion. Everyone has its preference. Thanks for the work and the review.
Not sure those dimensions are correctâŠ
Wrecked the look with that crap grill. Looks like some Walmart sub now with that grill.
You can still get the steel grill but you have to buy it unfortunately.
1259 Canadian, how disappointing. The way you started out talking about the Canadian dealer I thought you were also Canadian đ
I am Canadian.
