    Hello! what's the color of the case? Which gray is it

    Accent keys sound a little hollow without any foams, alphas sound nice though. I think no case with with plate and pe is best sound profile personally.

    This is the only build with the Pastel Sky switches that I can find of. Could you provide some more details on your experience with those switches?

      Very smooth stock. A little on the clackier side for sure. I like the color!

    Hi! is the PE foam you have just the poron switch pads they included or is it just random PE foam you had lying around?

    When you say the Tofu has been "phased out" by the Neo65, Cycle7, etc., do you mean it's been phased out of the budget space? Or are these other keyboards strictly better than the Tofu, irrespective of price?

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I believe it’s been phased out of the budget space. As to whether the other boards are “better” is up to preference. Until I get my hands on these boards, I won’t be able to determine for myself which I like more.

    • @AOVIOS
      @AOVIOS Před 9 měsíci

      Welp price wise Neo65 is on top (haven't got my hands on one but reviews also says so),
      Quality wise, I'd give it for Cycle since it gives a mid range to high end sound and style(like what the Qk hype was all about last year or so), for availability and customizability it's for the tofu since it's in stock and you can play with different mounting styles and even has a pcb for all layouts

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 9 měsíci

      @@AOVIOS I agree, playing around with different mounting styles and foam configs is definitely fun.

    Hi, keyboard noob here, are the durock v2 stabilizers better than the cherry screw-ins? And can I switch between different stabilizers once the keyboard has been built? Thanks!

    • @AppledOW
      @AppledOW Před 6 měsíci

      yeah durock v2 stabs are generally better than cherry screw-ins, although its not too huge of a deal. its fairly simple to switch between the different stabs once built, all you have to do is unscrew the board and then unscrew the stabs from the pcb, and screw everything back together

    may i ask thr 60g bowl is bowl the actual name or is there a different name to it? may i know what is the function of this bowl?

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 28 dny

      Bowl is the actual name. The bowl shape allows for some bounce to the board.

  • @Syronlol
    @Syronlol Před 10 měsíci

    how is the flex/bounce on this board?

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 10 měsíci

      With the silicone bowl mount, there is a lot of flex and I was using the 60 g bowls. If you use the 50 g i would expect it to get even more flexy.

    You really seem to be on team "Clacky" as far as the sound you're going for.

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 10 měsíci +1

      So far my fav sound profile comes from my marbly qk65 but I do tend towards team clack and team no-foam. I like when boards have a bit of personality to their sound without relying on foam.

    • @Qichar
      @Qichar Před 10 měsíci

      @@mkeebyI like marbly the most as well. I recently got a Cidoo V87, and I think it sounds moderately marbly stock, especially the space bar. I can't believe it sounds as good as it does given its budget price, and I'm glad because I don't have the time research how to max out the marbly sound.

    • @mkeeby
      @mkeeby  Před 9 měsíci

      @@QicharI wish the cidoo came in a barebones version. That would make it a really good budget aluminum kit.
