I really appreciate you diving a bit deeper than most other "reviewers". Most times, it feels as if they're trying to sell me something I don't need.
Thanks for the video, I'm researching the keyboard to assemble mine and your assembly video and this helped me a lot
very well put together review and relaxing
love your videos, and the whole aesthetic, keep it up ✌
I built this recently as my first keyboard I've ever built, I loved it!
amazing edit and colour grade
Great review of the building experience. I find the keeb community really lacks when issues arise aside from trying to find a discord server and then start asking questions.
I think the Mode Envoy ticks most of them. Ease of assembly ✅, Customisation ✅ Availability being instock soon ✅ Reasonably price ✅
Definitely-Mode's been putting out good stuff. Might check out the Envoy in the near future
Agreed, and with a caveat I'll say that the Mode Sonnet is beginner level friendly as far as building and tinkering. Two screws and you've got it open. Price...well, that's the caveat. 🤑
@@SurrenderNein The thing about the Sonnet for me is how fast the price increase with options. There are many 75% out there, like the newly release Taco75 by Kbdfans which comes with almost every option including a brass bottom/weight for $100 less than to an equivalent specced Sonnet
219 usd
Budget
Ah yes
you really uploading in 3:2 aspect ratio huh... i respect it.
If the screw-in stabs are a problem, KBDFans could just swap them out for snap-in stabilizers...other than that its a great intro build
I cant think of too many boards off the top of my head where all of these parameters are check tbh. The Tofu comes close, an envoy is one, maybe a bakeneko. Most of the budget/beginner keyboards out there only really struggle with availability imo
I think if you are spending $200 on a sef assemble keyboard. you will have a few screw divers you can use.
especially when you can get a kit for $15.
Other than that. this is a solid Vid!
I agree I about the build guide.. I am no novice at building things. but I did find the guide that was provided a little unclear and it took me a few reads to get exactly what was being talked about.
The QR code is a great idea
thanks
hi, whats the name of the hat?
Вутинг соберется?
I want to make this 2.4ghz compatible.
My dream board is a:
60% layout
2.4ghz
Hot swap
Flex cut
PC plate
Gasket mount (or equivalent like bowl mount)
Tofu60 2.0 does all but the 2.4ghz very well.
You could probably use an after-market PCB, like the nice!60, idk if it would fit in the Tofu60 case, but it's worth some researching to find out.
The crazy fact is that this is often considered a budget kit but the 65% is 220€ bruh, that's mid budget.
Still budget market, mid tier is at around 300€
What are these keycaps called? Thanks
HammerWorks CRP
Yeah, i'm pretty sure when I say "beginner" they just mean affordable
Yeah, necessary but not sufficient
$100 womier keyboards sound better than these
Hi this keyboard sound boring!!!!!
