EXCELLENT VIDEO! My mother bought this car on impulse one evening from a very questionable used car man and it landed in my driveway with some type of unknown problem. But this is a very excellent video, thank you for your amazing work.
On mine I had to: 1.replace both rear bearings and sensors due to ABS malfunction. 2. replace steering wheel position sensor. 3. replace corroded lines on rear differential (hard to access, $1100.00 repair). 4. replace broken clamp on radiator hose, lost all coolant because of that. 5. replace gate lifting air spring. 6. replace screen. 7. replace head lights because they got quite dark and changing light bulbs did not help.
You could to be right on with your post, however... I have never used the touch-screen, only the knobs below and have never had a problem with my screen. Ive always driven like there was an egg between my foot and the accelerator and still running strong at 126k. I put a nice bead of silicone caulk around the seams of the headlight and no problems. I have developed a clunk in the ft end, not sure if it's a wheel bearing or something else? Finally my drivers seat did crack, no comment. These are my only concerns after 12 yrs and 126k miles and I believe any new car is going to have similar problems. Treat your car like a family member, clean out your garage and park it inside each night. Talk and wash her often and she will take good care of you, I love my SRX.
My neighbors suv srx cadillac v6 just lost compression on cylinder #3 they where told they need a new engine.. their vehicle only has 108k miles.. older lady driven so i know it was not drivers fault.. she keeps thay vehicle looking like new.
Ya know pretty much every car has issues of some sort. Thats what happens when you Rely on technology.

You're supposed to clean and condition any leather seat. Otherwise it will dry up and crack. The timing chain will stretch as a result of dirty or poor quality oil. Also with these VVT engines are the VVT valves which can get dirty can result in a timing code.

Wish I had seen this BEFORE I purchased my SECOND Cadillac suv. The condensation in the headlights and the hatch not lifting should be something that Cadillac should definitely be ashamed of. With their reputation this is far below their standard and I am extremely upset. I've been buying Cadillacs since I was 17 years of age. Over three decades later and I am so ready to move on to another type of luxury car/SUV. I think that my wrong with Cadillac has finally come to an end
