  • The diamond crystal structure has been briefly explained to give its form of construction and animation of MS PowerPoint has been given at its end for quick review. The location of exterior and interior atoms in the crystal is demonstrated in two and three dimensions. Some other valuable properties concerning the structure other than the chemical and physical have also been described to give a better understanding.
    I recommend all of you to go for the book named "Introduction to Solid State Physics" by Charles Kittel for further study.

    If each Carbon atom is bound to 4 other Carbon atoms, what about the peripheral Carbon atoms at the surface of the diamond? What are they bound to?

    • @ZaffarcreationAK
      @ZaffarcreationAK  Před 3 lety +3

      Here only the bonding of the interior of the cube are represented. Just copy this whole cube and paste it any where on any one of the sixth face, the atoms at the surface will also show that they are bonded with other atoms in a similar pattern.

      OK sir thanx alot

    • @ZaffarcreationAK
      @ZaffarcreationAK  Před 4 lety +1

      Just go to Newton's 1st law of motion. "If an object is moving it will continue to move until an external force doesn't changes its motion". Therefore, if its moving then it will continue to move for all net forces zero. I hope you understood.

    • @hamzatahir9409
      @hamzatahir9409 Před 4 lety +1

      @@ZaffarcreationAK it's mean that if the object moving with constant speed then net force =0

    • @ZaffarcreationAK
      @ZaffarcreationAK  Před 4 lety

      @@hamzatahir9409 yes dear, because the acceleration will also be zero. Consider F = ma, the net force will be zero as a = 0.
