Hawk is a badass & has perhaps the best arc in the show
Great tier list! That is what's great about cobra kai is so many characters are complex and have depth that they move around for me after every season. Like in real life. Everyone has flaws in the show.
There’s so many characters to love in this show, which is in fact a sign of a great show to me. Characters are the most important and this show knows it!
My Top 5 Favourite are Miguel, Tory, Hawk, Robby, and Chozen (Not in that order tho)

Sam is probably the most overly-hated fictional character. I've never gotten the hate for her plus the fact that people keep attacking me for liking her. At least Cobra Kai kid, the #1 biggest Cobra Kai fan on the internet and probably ever, defends her and made an analysis video called "In defense of Samantha LaRusso". Oh if idk if this is true but I read some comments saying that people bullied Mary Mouser just because they don't like Sam. It's fine if they don't like Sam but if this is true, bullying Mary Mouser just for not liking her character just makes me sick to my stomach. I've seen Cobra Kai Kid meet Mary Mouser in person and she seems like one of the sweetest actresses based on that vid. She's also one of my top celebrity crushes (and no I'm not using that as an excuse to love & defend Sam).

At least when it comes to being reasonable, Amanda is definitely on the top imo. She's the one who manages to reason with most of the characters in most cases. She needs a push in the right direction sometimes, but she's the one who would try and solve a problem before holding a grudge for too long and no reason.

@@SamlarussoMVP not everyone. Johnny, Robby, Kreese, and Silver are all great. But all LaRussos, especially LaRusso 2.0 are pure evil. Tory just happens to be the most relatable character on the show. She had me at her mom getting fired for bringing home food that was getting thrown away in Season 2. I know the feeling as a kid.

Sam bullied her the first time they met at the Country Club. A bully picks on others when there is little chance of resistance. That’s what Sam (and Daniel) always do. Whenever Sam felt she had the advantage or no chance if resistance she bullies and attacks, just like Daniel. Whenever someone wants to fight man to man they cry about being bullied. Tory and Johnny were not bullies they just never back down from a fight. They fight to settle things even if they do not have the upper hand. Bullies never want a fight.

I love Sam. I know people may not like that but she, Robby, Miguel and probably Chozen are my favorites! I think Rosa should be in good if Mike Barnes made it to great after being in only 2 episodes. My only issue. Everything else looks great!

Great list! I have no problem with it except for Jessica Andrews being in bad. As a KK3 fan, it was a great surprise to see her come back to the show as Amanda’s cousin (I do understand this might not have been your case since KK3 is not as prominent as the other movies).
Still I do think she plays a good role in helping Amanda realizing the kind of person Silver was back in the day and what he did to Daniel. This finally led Amanda to support Daniel’s belief of taking down Silver. I would personally put her in good

Chris I have a question for you. Have you seen Avatar: The Last Airbender? If you haven’t it’s not just one of the best animated shows ever made it’s one of the best shows ever made period.
Couldn't disagree more with Kyler. He deserves to be in the bad tier imo. He's the worst character of the show overall. I kind of hate Anthony more if you only count the first 4 seasons he was the worst character for the longest time but at least he had some redeeming qualities in season 5 which is something Kyler never has. Plus he does nothing else but be a bully. Sometimes he just feel like a plot device to get characters to have conflict with.
Great list. I’d make a couple tweaks but overall I’m in agreement. I was a little upset Miguel’s grandma is in meh tho lol at a minimum she’s good(Moon is in good for Gods sake lol) she has so many funny lines.

In my opinion, he just complains about everything and starts to be too much. I get why you like him tho.
I agree with you almost 100%. But I think I’d put Robby in great, I think he was a little shaky in seasons 1 and 2. Not bad, but tbh I don’t think his acting was very good back then (it got better tho). And I felt like he was kind a bland bad boy to start, and a little bland of a good guy in his first stint at Miyagi Do (but I don’t think it was terrible or anything). I like his relationship with Sam less then Miguel and Sam. He was always meant to be Miguel’s rival, but I don’t think he was ever as good as Miguel as a character. But from season 3 onward I really really like what they did with him. I think he was really good as a Cobra Kai leader, and then his turn back to the light side and getting on good terms with his dad was great. So all in all I’d put him in great. (And I like all of Lyle’s scenes but that’s a minor one, I’d put him in Meh).
What exactly makes Miguel good? Though Robby’s writing is pretty bad structurally in the first 3 seasons, at least he had writing. Miguel is just the blank, hero-archetype character, I never understood the appeal honestly.
I like Miguel, farrrrr more than Robby, but I don’t think he’s the better character. I want to know why you think he is, genuinely curious.

She wasn't flirting with Robby in season 1 she was being friendly to someone that her dad worked with and trained and then helped her to get out of the house when she was grounded.

I am aware of the Sam hate but I'm seeing a lot of hate for Miguel and Robby in the comments. I don't get it I love those 3 and I agree they're better than Hawk. Also I prefer Robby's redemption arc over Hawk. I like Hawk's redemption (S4E9 was his real redemption and you can't convince me otherwise), but I was just more invested in Robby's redemption.
Robby, Sam, and Miguel above Hawk and Tory seems like a sin. Maybe I could see Robby in “Best of the Best” (even though I hate him), but Sam and Miguel are just too bland to me.
