I'm stuck between ranking this in either 2nd or 3rd place out of the 5 Seasons. My favorite season is Season 3 & my least favorite Season is Season 2 with S1 above it. S4 has competition with S5 for me. I have enjoyed every season overall.
Heres My grading of the overall show, Ranking Of All Seasons from Best To worst. (Note: Season-2 is still really good overall, even almost great but its just the weakest imo, pls dont hate. There is no bad Seasons in this show to me). To be fairly honest, my list is obviously not the most accurate/right list, just my list, & Ik I might get a few disagreements but this is just my personal opinion so feel free to comment below to agree/disagree. All opinions will always be respected & I would love to see your list as well.
Cobra-Kai (2018-?): A/A+ (not sure of the overall grade to pick)
1. Season-3 (2020-1)= A
I loved Season-3 because I tend to love a character arc in which the protagonist is in his/her worst but finds a way to get back up. I love recovery arcs. This season was alot of fun, alot of character progression, & so many twist & turns. Miguel returns to his underdog storyline & his relationship with Johnny is back to major focus.
2. Season-4 (2021)= A
Everything about this season was lit with the drama & character development (Terry Silver, Robby, Hawk, & Tory in particular). I have only a few issues in regards to Miguel & Sam's relationship being stale & sidelined, Anthony's storyline (though I did like him more next season), & some characters make choices that frustrated me.
3. Season-5 (2022)= A
This season was originally my #1 after watching it the first 2 times but after a few more rewatches, I found this season (though really good & has the best fanservice) sorta rushed, the first half in particular, some character arcs are rushed & sidelined (Johnny & Robby in particular), some subplots that I was mixed on (While I didnt mind the Baby Plot too much, it does take an aspect of Johnnys redemption arc for himself & as a father to Robby) & this season lacked the most impactful reconciliation in terms of our younger characters, including the the closure for the cheating in regards to the love-square between Miguel, Sam, Robby, & Tory. But overall, I had a lot of fun withis season & I loved it, including the finale.
4. Season-1 (2018)= A-
A phenomenal start to an entire series. I just think that each season got better after this. Ik this is mostly on everyone's top spot & I get it. I love the first season but I think the future season got better than its predecessors (except S2 imo) as a TV-Show should be.
5. Season-2 (2019)= B+
An overall enjoyable but very uneven season. It just lacks the relationship between Miguel & Johnny as to me they are the heart of the show & their relationship is somewhat sidelined compared to Season-1. On a positive note of that relationship, I really love Johnnys conversation with Miguel about Robbys birth, that was emotionallly heartbreaking as well as Episode 6 in regards to Tommy (R.I.P Rob Garrison) Also, I heavily despised the love-square subplot & yes admittedly, not only am I not fan of Robby & Sam as a couple, I hated them & Ik I'm gonna get downvoted for how petty that is but the love square is so melodramatic. But the finale is......emotionally & tragically EPIC.

I think my ranking goes like this:
5. Season 1 (it's still a great start to the show, but it's a little slow and not as action-packed as the other seasons; an awesome setup for season 2 tho)
4. Season 4 (the Kenny storyline was interesting for Robby's redemption arc, but kinda dragged the season down a little bit; other than that, the return of Silver and seeing him slowly take over Cobra Kai was really cool; also I love the scene with Robby and Johnny at the end where they finally make amends it really warmed my heart)
3. Season 3 (Robby's fall from grace reminded me a lot of Anakin Skywalker turning to the dark side; the fight at the Larusso house was amazing; Hawk's redemption arc was awesome to see; Daniel going to Okinawa, meeting up with Kumiko and reading the letters from Mr. Miyagi were touching callbacks; the only downside is that some characters were sidelined a bit, namely Robby in juvie and Miguel was recovering but looking back it makes sense why this season was a bit more like a recovery from the drama in Season 2)
2. Season 2 (the summer vibes are immaculate; love the drama between Robby, Sam, Tory, and Miguel; the school fight is the best fight in the entire show imo; I also have a lot of nostalgia when it comes to this season lol)
1. Season 5 (this season combined everything that's great about Cobra Kai into one; loved how Chozen's role was increased and Tory's development was amazing; the stakes were probably the highest yet, especially going into Season 6)

Ngl this was tuff. Your one of the few content creators I know who talks about this show, and I think that's awesome. Been watching since it was brought over to Netflix in August 2020. Never binged a show so quickly in life (legit Seasons 1 & 2 in two days) and this was without having grown up or seeing the movies before. Which I quickly watched after. As someone who grew up doing martial arts (and somehow having never watched the movies before Ik), I have to say that on top of being a extremely well crafted show that it's also super realistic as well.

Season 2 is underrated in my opinion
Agree it's my favorite.
My list is 2,1,4,5 & my favourite one is 3. I picked 3 for many reasons. It had arguably the best 2 episodes of the entire series 5 & the finale. Johnny & Daniel teaming up was magic. Kreese backstory told over 3 episodes was brilliantly done. The reading of the letters scene was incredibly moving,emotional & special. Miguel's recovery. Wonderful reunion & startling revelation revealed with the girl saved from typhoon now about to be Daniel's saviour & finally the return of 3 major characters & the impact they had was incredible & gave season 3 real strength & depth. For my money this made all the difference.

If I had to make a few predictions for Season 6, they would be as follows:
- Sensei Kim takes over Cobra Kai in Silver's place and fills the dojo with her students, whom she had talked up as being superior.
- Kreese will make it back to Cobra Kai looking to confront Silver only to find Sensei Kim; based on flashbacks and her reunion with Silver, we got the sense that she had always favored Kreese over him, so she will make the effort to bring Kreese back to Korea with her as a fugitive who helps her behind the scenes.
- Silver's lawyers will get him out of serving prison time (he'll plead self defense as his home WAS broken into), but with the news of him paying off the referee, he will be banned from karate. Silver, now with his reputation shattered will no longer feel the need to deceive others with his charm and will be completely off the rails feeling he has nothing left to lose.
- Silver will follow Cobra Kai to Korea where he and Kreese will have one big final showdown.
- Mike Barnes will fill the Miyagi Do/Eagle Fang sensei's in on the Sekai Taikai, as perhaps his old reputation he had earned as the 'Tournament Terror' had been with the goal of eventually competing at it.
- Because the Sekai Taikai is likely to take place somewhere in Asia, Miyagi Do will train in Okinawa for at least a short time.
- Chozen will confess to Kumiko
- Johnny and Carmen's kid will be born
- I hope this one isn't seen as a spoiler because nothing has actually been confirmed yet, but Silver dropped many ominous lines about legacy, youth, and savoring life before it's gone; his presence at the hospital not being explained; and his line to Chozen about "him being meant to die on the battlefield. think it's possible Silver may actually be dying.

I think Tory will end up living with the larussos kreese and kim with be in charge of cobra Kai and silver will pay his way out or just escape and at the Sekai takai Silver will try to kill Daniel and then Johnny comes in but daniel is already knocked and he is about to kill Johnny with a weapon or something and then kreese comes in killing himself but saving Johnny just a prediction it would probably be in the finale
My predictions for season 6: I think that Kreese will team up with Kim Dae Un and start a new Cobra Kai dojo. And since everyone left Cobra Kai, Kim will probably get some of her students from South Korea to come to the U.S. Therefore we can have fights between Miyagi-Fang and Cobra Kai. I also think that Miyagi Fang will just call themselves Miyagi Do for the tournament. The tournament will be held in Japan, probably Tokyo since it’s the capital. It will be a two part finale, like season 4. I think Robby and Tory will win the Sekai Takai.
Kim is going back home, she doesn't need new students you fool.

1) Miguel's Father Hector discovers the backpack he left behind with name and address
2) Hillary Swank ( Julie Pierce) returns becoming the only female sensei in Cobra Kai and only one who can take on Senswi Kim. Congrats to Swank bit bad timing as she is currently pregnant with twins (we will see)
3) Sensei Kim recruits her Korean students( brings Kreese with) or Kreese heads to Mexico discovers underground fight ring..Meets Hector.
Chozen could probably also take on sensei kim

1. The first 2 - 4 episodes were pretty weak (progressively getting better each episode)
2. The Miguel and Sam breakup felt unnecessary
3. Terry Silver was defeated way to easily
4. Everyone in Cobra Kai getting mad at Silver was out of character, I really don't think half of those guys would care just because he paid off the refs
5. I like that Robby and Miguel are cool with each other I just don't like how fast it happened after 2.5 seasons of hating each other they act like their best friends after 1 interaction, I mean it makes sense that they would make up, but it happened so suddenly

1. Hawk losing that match made sense
2. How is that a complaint, he literally found his dad but he ended up being a dick, and the other time was when his girlfriend broke up with him, that makes sense

1. Season 4 (I love how much the characters changed in this season like Tory, Robby and Hawk. I also love the fight scenes in this season and the All Valley finals, Robby vs Hawk is like my second favourite fight in the entire show)
2. Season 5 (Mainly cause everyone is starting to work together to take down Cobra Kai. Also, Chozen is back so I loved him this season.
3. Season 2 (the relationship "square" between Miguel, Tory, Robby and Sam is just a unique addition to the show, wasn't expecting that to happen. Also, the school fight is my favourite fight in the entire show.)

5. S3 (7/10) - Overall another good season but it just always felt off to me and I don't understand why
4. S5 _(7.5/10) - Great season and Silver is my favorite character so it was nice to see him in the spotlight for this season, but the first 2 - 4 episodes were really weak in my opinion and it only started getting good in the second half
3. (8.5/10) - S1 - An Amazing season and excellent start to the show

(9.5/10) - S2 - I really liked the summer vibe of the season (which is weird because I usually don't like summer vibe stuff), I really liked all the miyagi-do and Cobra Kai interactions throughout the season, and Tory is a top tier character for me so her introduction was neat and the school fight remains the best fight and episode in the series for me
1. (9.6) - S4 - I loved Terry Silver this season and this is the season that got me to like Sam because I never really liked her in the first 2 and she was getting better in the third but her relationship with Johnny made me like her more, Miguels relationship with Johnny is also very interesting this season because they start to fall off in the first half of the season and then they got better with each other until episode 8. I enjoyed the introduction of kenny and even though most people hate him in S5, I didn't mind him, I also liked how they gave Anthony something to actually do this season instead of just being in the background or just appearing for one episode. The finale is awesome (Although I do think S2 and S3 had better finales), Robby v. Eli fight is one of the top 3 fights in the series, and overall I really like Season 4

With my complaints about Season 5 out of the way (see below), the Miguel vs Robby fight was a blast, as was Amanda's trip to Ohio. Everyone partying in Season 9 was also a lot of fun. My favorite seaons were 3 for Hawk and 4 for the superb plot twists, then 2 for the school brawl, then 1, which I'm sure meant more to everyone who saw (and remembered) the trilogy. I saw The Karate Kid too old, and it left no particular impresson on me. I don't tear up about Mr. Miyagi. But the series as a whole has to be one of the greatest things I've seen.
This may be an idiosyncratic reaction, but having been bullied, I feel that Hawk was justified in getting back at the world. I was glad to see him make things square with Demitri, but wish he'd stayed Red Hawk. His redemption felt like a defeat to me, and his humility upon joining Miyagi Do, was disgusting. Perhaps because I never had my Bruggs moment.

Season 2 I do love mall and school fight I love Robby and Sam but just not that remembererble
Season 3 it is awesome and had some awesome fights and Ali coming back I personally think that that was really awesome
Season 1 It started the whole thing but just doesn’t have anything to reflect of like in season 5 they were reflecting in other words the past
Season 4 I love how terry silver comes back and training Robby and Tory in cobra Kai and of course the all valley them saying the whole season that you’ll have to shut your dojo down to each other and of course just them training together.
Season 5 it’s the best because we get to see chosen back after season 3 then him training with terry silver just to help Daniel then Miguel in Mexico Johnny and Robby coming out find him and the fights it’s just great and the plot armour Chozen vs Terry Silver

@@PeaceEditzYT I actually consider season 2 the 3rd best. It's a bit draggy, but it has very solid episodes with no really wasted scene if you get what I mean.. 😅 Something always happens, while I felt that in season 3 there were episodes that were just there for the most part.. Not saying it was a bad season, but I consider it the second weakest of the show..

Funny enough, both my favorite and least favorite couples of the show had Sam involved. Favorite couple being Miguel x Sam and the worst we can probably all agree is Kyler x Sam.

Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan of season 5. In my opinion, it made the universe really big and I liked when it was small and only focused on one dojo and a few well written characters. My ranking is

Season 4 is just the 🐐 season for me. I really enjoy the story building throughout the season up to the finale and the tournament was just incredible!

This is going to sound too negative--but Season 5 was my least favorite for a number of reasons. I'd really bonded with Hawk, and since his arc was over, he faded into the background. Miguel's trip is Mexico was casually disposed of in two episodes, when it had felt like it was going to last most of the season. The Taikai--Save-the-world plots are a sign of creative exhaustion. Tolkein wrote the last one; after that, we're sick of them. Of course you have to suspend disbelief, but Chosen looking away from Silver in the midst of a life-or-death swordfight because someone said his name, is just not credible. I also couldn't believe Robby and Miguel becoming friends after fighting it out, because there was so much history there that it was just too easy. Their friendship needed to be grown over multiple episodes. And Miguel stumbling across his father rather than tracking him down was hard to swallow. They had to bring Mike Barnes back, but what did he add in terms of character or plot? They didn't make him interesting; he was just there.

Five was a huge disappointment with great episodes mixed in. They tried to fit two seasons into one and you could tell. I was disappointed to hear that they cut out most of the entire storyline they filmed about Terry’s illness.
Also a lot cut and saved for future seasons 🤞
The first 4 episodes all I wanted was to just watch the Johnny scenes as family man. Though I did like freaking LaRusso showing his true crazy, bullying self and getting embarrassed by Silver.
I hope that the show finally ends with the death of the LaRussos, unless they make it a noble heroic death for Danny Boy. But, I’m sure he will be fine because they teased a Miyagi prophecy that they have not fulfilled yet about Anthony defending the family.

Cobra Kai season 6 probably drops late summer

Late summer is when they're gonna announce (a new season of Cobra Kai gets announced 3 months before its release). I predict the release date on November 24, 2023.

For me, 5 > 4 > 3 > 1 > 2
I don’t think season 2 is bad either, but I think it’s the weakest. Last time I watched it I was pleasantly surprised how solid I thought it was. I think it has a bit more cringe than the other seasons, and I don’t think Tory was a very good character yet.
