where did you get your patches made?
For the hangers: maybe consider Chicago Screws and a piece of burlap or duck cloth, or even rivets. Mount the hangers on the burlap/duck cloth, then impregnate the fibers of the cloth with contact cement or something else not water soluble like rubber cement. Just a suggestion... i hate hot glue because it has a tendency to fail over the normal course of time. If hanging, direct sunlight will weaken the structural integrity too. I just found your channel today and this is my first of your videos. Definitely subscribing!
