- 2021 Lotus Exige 350 with a 390/410 exhaust! This thing sounds like HELL! A 350bhp V6 Petrol engine from a Toyota Camry with a supercharger in a Lotus that weighs a little more than a thousand KG! One of the best experiences I have as a passenger in a long while and it sounds unbelievable!

I might have a car your interested in and something a bit different to film, I have an infiniti q50s 3.5 v6 hybrid 2015, its definitely something a bit a different and a performance hybrid rather than a more economical hybrid.
Hope the new Emira sounds similar!

Having driven a couple of Lotus Exige’s, these are the best car to drive. Driven Lambos etc but this is just the best driving experience. And well done for getting the race exhaust fitted which comes standard in the 410. It’s unreal.

I had a 2005 Elise....tons of character. Hard to believe it only has 190 bhp. Seemed like lots of power back then.

EDIT : Just watched the Sabine Van project videos and I actually saw your Van last weekend !! Maybe next time you are down we can go for a lap or two in the Exige.
That's a 350 with a harrop supercharger upgrade. It makes about at least 400 and roughly 400nm. It's pretty brutal :) I had a exige s with the same setup. Good vid. Nailed the feel of it pretty well 👍
NERD ALERT!!!!.......Supercharger is standard. As soon as I saw the silver SC I thought, that's not a 2021 car. Lotus fitted the silver SC for a short time around 2019/20.
@@peterthompson9854 I know a supercharger is standard mate. The standard supercharger is a tvs1320. The harrop is a large supercharger developed by an Aussie company. The original tvs had a lotus plaque on it. This one did not. Your nerd alert is invalid.
@@Matthew-oh1wg maybe not, I can still be a nerd 😂Lotus dispensed with the black plaqued supercharger as a cost saving excercise for an number of cars built in 2019 and 2020. His looks exactly the same as mine. I preferred the sexier plaqued version, so contacted Hethel to find out why mine was different.

The Toyota 3.5L V6 in this is the same one that's been produced since the 90s (with a few tweeks over the years for emissions) in the Supra as well.
You are mistaken, none of the Supra models ever had this engine or even a v6. They always had either straight 4 or 6-cylinder engines.
@@NomadJRG Yes the 2JZ. Newer models have the BMW i6 as it's related to the Z4 (built on same chassis)

I had an earlier exige with a wide body kit from lotus. Amazing car to drive and look at, only problem was British roads, literally killed my back😂 so I had to sell it. Road holding is in a different league to any other car, miss the car!
The Exige S is the way to go in sound and performanse plus, the ressle value will rise faster and higher
The indicator stalk and key barrel were the same as my old mk3 astra haha but that car is savage and sounds great!!! Best sounding car is the LFA but they're 500-600k plus now 😱

Love this car but my 02 Camaro SS with 427 LS3 swap, speed density tune, holly sniper intake, longtubes, cat delete and SLP chambered center mount exhaust sounds way more awesome IMO.
Sounds tremendous, especially considering it’s a Toyota motor , sounds much more exotic .
