    I have both boards... had the Dual Core Blade 5 longer than my One80 board... its holding up really well!!! No complaints. As for the the One80 board, same... great solid board! One80 seems a little more harder... but i actually like the color/inking better on the One80, looks brighter, cleaner. Can't go wrong with either. Gladiator III and Blade 5 are excellent boards.

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts  Před 4 lety +1

      Definitely. I think I probably should have phrased better on the one80 i dont think the inkling is bad it just seems a bit thick almost like it's been painted. Especially when new. Both are awesome boards though definitely 👍🏻

    Gladiator 2 is by far the best board ive played on. Had a G3, it was slightly less dense and quieter. However it was one of the batches that had the terrible spider issue. Blade 5s just dont last as long, but they sure look great on camera

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts  Před 3 lety

      Yeah I had a g3 with the spider issue, wasn't sure if I could get a replacement for it or not seeing as one80 are so inactive everywhere.
      I have a g2+ and its definitely the best board I have

  • @uksnusreviews9455
    @uksnusreviews9455 Před 4 lety +1

    Really good review! I think the wires look noticeable thicker on the 180. Espescially on the side angles when playing the 501. If winmau could reduce the profile of the bull wire they would really improve it. Possibly coming on the Blade 6 maybe?

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks!
      That's definitely what I'm thinking. I think the wires that separate each number are thicker than all the wires on the G3 but the wires that separate singles from treble and double are a lot thinner.
      Definitely a better bull wire and a new number ring. Dont think we'll see a blade 6 for a couple years yet. Maybe when PDCs contract with unicorn is up 🤔

    • @uksnusreviews9455
      @uksnusreviews9455 Před 4 lety +1

      @@MatadorDarts I reckon blade 6 is another 5 years off at least. The manufacturing cost in building the machines and tooling mean they have to run that line for a minimum of X years before they see the return and the blade 5 is probably the most popular board out there so they won't nmbe in a rush to change it unless the competition make something out of this world better.

    Thanks for the comparison. I have a thirty five year old board that I am going to put on the wall again but it is badly discolored due to dust and crud. Can you recommend a way to restore brightness? Thanks

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts  Před 3 lety

      Sorry I don't really know how to restore boards, 35 years old though I'd say it might be worth getting a new one. Maybe use a stiff brush but other than that I wouldn't know
      The cheapest professional style board on the market is £30 which is the mission samurai.
      Otherwise I would recommend either of these two boards at a slightly higher price.

    Made a mistake buying Gladiator 3 - after few months wire started going out of a board, banged it back with pieace of wood and hammer, and it was good for another month. After that it goes out faster and faster, now it lasts for 2 days max.

    • @MatadorDarts
      @MatadorDarts  Před 3 lety +1

      Yeah my wire has slowly started to come away too a couple months after I made this review. Shame really as it's a really nice board otherwise. I've switched to the G2+ hopefully those wires dont come out too
