Ah cool, I think I need to remove the rest of my solenoids, I removed one closest to the egr when I removed it and blanked it off, I had the impression that the other two controls something else. I've also never seen that set-up before with coolant lines on the egr.

I'm going to do the egr delete on my 2005 B-series 2.5 tdi 4x4 because the egr cooler is pressuring the cooling system under load. Is it a must to disconnect the solenoids and can I just reconnect the 2 coolant pipes to the cooler since right now I have them disconnected and joined together with a piece of copper pipe. Will it affect the MOT in UK? Thanks for the vlogg and support.

Couple of questions mate, if i blank the egr system off, does it set off the engine management codes and will it still pass the emissions test at the next mot? Im curious as i was getting obd code p0404 with just 2 vacuum lines being mixed up after changing engines over recently, if it doesn't affect either of those how much for the blanking plates mate?, cheers

I would like to remove the solenoid from the top of my engine just like this but I only have 2 of the 1 of them is white and the other is black but I heard you mention in the video to leave 1 of the solenoids as it is for the boost, so I am a bit confused

I can’t find a header for my b2500 would I have to delete egr and throw a 2.3 header on if possible?

I did this egr delete a few weeks ago. It solved my overheating isue due to exhaust gas going into the cooling due to faulty egr cooler. I only blanked the pipe from the exhaust that goes over to the egr cooler on the inlet side. Those wouldn't slacken. The one I tried was only offering to shear so I left it. I never disconnected the solenoids. Now after about 200miles I have the start of an electrical fire somewhere down the back of the starter motor or over beside the exhaust. I need to get the truck towed home before I can search for the wiring issue. Is this likely due to not disconnecting the solenoids or possibly caused by excess heat in the exhaust melting wiring which is routed to close to the exhaust. Any advice/pointers will be greatly appreciates since I need the truck for work and it has been broken down since Thursday last week. Thanks in advance. 2004 Mazda B-2500 2.5 td 4x4 fire behind engine after blanking egr

Hi does it make any difference to blank the egr with a plate compared with the total removal? Which is more responsive to torque? Tqvm

Hey man, I have a fault code on my mk2 4WD for the accelerator position sensor. It was running fine but I thought I would replace it to try and clear the check engine light, and now it’s running in limp mode & the code hasn’t cleared. Do I need to do some kind of throttle relearn procedure? Or any ideas? I’ve checked the wiring from the position sensor back to the ecu and there’s voltage to the sensor. Any help will be much appreciated! Cheers, Tom
