If this actually ends up with him gone from politics for good or at least never holding any office of power than great... But as long as the next phase will be a result of SNP+Green agreement of any kind it hardly can be any good. Remember it was not the things you criticize Humza for that made him resign... and people who installed him are still in charge.

The hideous ideology that Humza subscribes to remains lurking like a cancer in every cell of our society: Government, The Police, Armed Forces, Schools, Universites, Journalism etc.
It is also present in nearly every political party: The SNP, Labour, The Greens, Lib Dems and even many so called conservatives.

Police Scotland killed the hate speech law dead in the first 24h.
      1. They backed down from JK Rowling on trans ideology.
      2. They stated humzers racist rant was not racist.
      Then we have the
      Cass report.
The plan had been to establish case law from the woke courts and essentially invent the law out of thin air by using structural leftism within Police and judiciary.

Glad it was noted here that the Scottish Greens have said many times that they would not work with Kate Forbes when she was up for the position over a year ago that Humza got.
The Greens and Sturgeon did not want Forbes because she is openly Christian, believing it would conflict with their only concern, gender identity and young children.
The level of hate against Forbes simply for been a Christian is outrageous.
The irony in all of this is that Humza sacking the Greens was the only decent thing he has done in over a year. Funny thing is though, he sacked them 2 days after Green Leader Patrick Harvey refused to accept the findings of the Cass Review, despite admitting he had never read it. He went on to say that the activists in social media were upset and critical of the report, taking that as more valid than the contents of the Cass Review itself.
So could it be that the sensible politicians in the SNP wondered where the hell the Greens were getting their stats from that was informing also their Green advocacy.
How could anyone now believe a word the Scottish Greens say about anything.
I for one am so glad that these hypocrite activists are out of government.
Incidentally, their prejudice against Christians needs addressing immediately.

Useless must have concerns for his family: he won't be able to pull any strings to help his drug-dealing brother-in-law escape a potential murder charge (allegedly); and nor will he, in future, be able to establish a parallel foreign policy (outwith the bounds of the Scotland Act) and funnel undesignated aid money to a discredited terrorist-aligned charity to pay for the release of family members from a war-zone (allegedly). Let's hope the next FM doesn't view his/her position as enabling such perks.

It seems clear that the SNP is now a spent force, not just for internal reasons of which there are many, but because they are ideologically and temperamentally boxed in and unable to go into coalition or cooperation agreements with other parties. Alba will benefit, perhaps even inherit from this impending collapse, but it may not reach the dizzy heights of dominating Hollyrood or control of Bute House for a long, long time, if ever.

Realistically, imagining the SNP as a permanently spent force is a fever dream.
The demographics on Scottish independence have been going one way and one way only for the past 50 years.
And it's particularly popular among teens and 18-35s. The only way the SNP are going down the pan, is if another pro-independence party manages to displace them. Possible, but unlikely...

@@michaelgove9349 Do you recall the referendum results? And the arguments around what "once in a generation" actually meant? I was reasonably impressed by the arguments around Brexit and the constitutional arrangements. But the SNP was not cutting it due to its own corruption and incompetence. Hence minority government, in be with the Greens and full scale embrace of "the woke agenda". You well know what I mean. It is an insult and disservice to John Knox and the Scottish Enlightenment.

He has NOT resigned as First Minister, he has only resigned as Leader of the SNP. Listen carefully to what he actually say not what you want to hear.
