- Welcome to the captivating third part of our wild camping adventure on the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. In this episode, we'll continue our remarkable journey through the enchanting landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales, taking us from Nine Standards Rigg to the charming village of Ingleby Arncliffe.
As we traverse the captivating Yorkshire Dales, we'll opt for the low route, passing by the quaint village of Keld and immersing ourselves in the breathtaking beauty of Swaledale Valley. Although the misty weather obscures some of the views, the mystical ambiance adds a touch of intrigue to our exploration.
Reaching the charming town of Reeth, we'll find respite at the welcoming Orchard Park Caravan and Camping Site. Here, we'll have the opportunity to recharge our phones and cameras, indulge in a rejuvenating hot shower, and replenish our energy for the days ahead.
Continuing our trek amidst relentless rain, we make our way to Richmond, where we stock up on essential supplies and inadvertently indulge in a bit too much culinary delight, leading to an amusing and cautionary tale of overindulgence.
On the ninth day of our adventure, we journey through the flat stretches between the Yorkshire Dales and the Moors, eventually arriving at Ingleby Arncliffe. This picturesque village serves as our base for the final few days of our epic coast-to-coast expedition across the North Yorkshire Moors.
Join me as we navigate misty landscapes, encounter unexpected challenges, and forge unforgettable memories along the Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk. Don't forget to subscribe to stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion of our wild camping adventure. Let's continue this extraordinary journey together!

Almost there 👍👍👍
I don't think I mentioned how draining it was enough!! Haha I was sick of myself saying it!
I absolutely love the atmosphere of moorland like that at the start. It really draws you in. Sorry to hear you were sick - you sounded alright the next day. Re-the last pitch. I'd have to clear up all that tissue and crap before settling down. I did so on my last trip dossing in a doorway. Well, have a good week ahead. Mark
The mist does give the moorlands a bit of atmosphere, I think I prefer it to perfect sun across moors as it can look a bit bland on days like that. Sickness was my own fault, felt a bit worse for wear early but once I got fed properly it was okay. I would normally clean up around my pitch of other people's rubbish, but with a few days left to hike I was just dealing with my stuff on this occasion!
@@ramblebob1 It does add atmosphere - more so than sun I agree. Good to hear the food worked. Yeah, I can appreciate how tired you were.
