I've raced cars, bikes and planes for almost 30 yrs now and this video shows in very good detail just how bumpy and how much camber the IoM TT course is. Gives you an entirely new appreciation for the skill and courage of everyone that races here. Well done mate. That was thoroughly enjoyable.

This is the first time I’ve watched something go round the tt coarse and be able to make out what was going on . It’s quick but compared to the bikes it’s so slow to watch . Good film

Cmon Mr.Martin, your just now uploading this.... Seen it many x before but always a pleasure to see it again! You should upload his near crash back in 2014 or 2015 (can't remember which year) but that was an INSANE recovery.....

Rally spectators are a crazy lot. It's one thing if a bike loses it, but a car?

Some top speed sections would reach a slightly higher top speed, yes. But acceleration out of the slower sections is key to lap time here. It's always a compromise, and although briefly hitting the rev limiter in top may seem less than ideal, very little time is lost so long as it is not much more than about 1% of the lap.
His Vauxhall Nova 1992 GSI drive defo had his heart rate higher
really fast lap. But unless the car can be upped in speed to 180-200 instead of 160-180, I don't think it can beat the bike times. its often said cars are faster than bikes, but in a very fast high speed track like this, its going to remain an open question. Great Lap!

@@jessicatorretto159 This isn't generally true. On most circuits, cars will beat bikes - more corner speed, better braking, more grip. But the TT track is super fast, and without a lot of slow/medium areas, the generally high speed nature of it lends itself to bike speed. In this video tho, you can see for instance the car is faster through Glen Helen..
btw any mechanics ... is that scooby really rev-ing to 8k rpm? or is that just the display that says 8k ?
Yes, there are some impreza Sti:s that have a 8k redline (usually 7k), so a modified EJ that has a 9k redline isnt strange.
