Having both communities represented on the flag was a sign of unity. And yes, there are tons of diversity in India and that's why they later changed the meaning of the colors so that no one would feel left out.

British tanks are named such after their Class specifications (mostly). C tanks are generally cavalry or breakthrough tanks. Tank destroyers generally have an A start like Achilles or Archer. Though their naming is never consistent, with Conway, Valentine, Matilda and Challenger, all with different roles to the start of their names (though Conway and Challenger do have centurion and cromwell hulls respectively)

BTW, it was the British that started the naming convention for US tanks, the US army used to just use model numbers. Britain decided they needed propper names once they started getting US tanks through lend lease to avoid confusion when the US gave them 2 different tanks both called M3 at the same time! :D

Only on national level Russian is the only official language. Many regions have their own official languages including Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar in Crimea. Implementation of similar approach was actually proposed to and rejected by Ukraine.
Exactly, russia in the 90s had a similar problem with separatism that Ukraine had now. Federalism has helped to deal with that to some extent. Ukraine in it's wisdoms for some reason rejected a Federalism so it is still suffering the consequences
