HOW TO FIND & FIX A TIRE LEAK!
zhlédnutí 66Před rokem
Sometimes you have a pesky slow leak in a tire that is elusive. Let's find out where it's leaking. If you have a late 90's- 2000's Volkswagen, this video is especially for you. Tires are tires, so this applies to all vehicles as well
HOW TO DIAGNOSE A STARTER PROBLEM with your vehicle
zhlédnutí 114Před rokem
My VW TDI Jetta wouldn't start when I came out of the grocery the other day, but I was able to push it & clutch start it on my own in order to get home. Charged the battery overnight, hooked it up next day, & same issue. Is it the starter itself, or something else? Starters are very expensive nowadays, so if we don't have to replace it, we won't. Here's how you figure it it's the starter, or so...
HOW TO CHANGE BRAKE LIGHTS / REVERSE LIGHTS / TURN SIGNALS
zhlédnutí 37Před rokem
Got a brake light out? Turn signal or reverse light not working in your tail lights? Most likely it's a burnt out bulb; here's how you change them- it's super easy! This is on our Chevy Equinox, but on most vehicles the procedure is the same. Thanks for watching! Leave comments or questions below

zhlédnutí 3,5KPřed rokem

BOSS PLOW controller pad replacement
zhlédnutí 1,2KPřed rokem
Touch pad on my BOSS snowplow controller was falling apart- putting a new one in it is a little tricky, but definitely doable. Here's how you do it; works on both V plow & straight blade controllers. ALSO will work on other types of plows that have a similar type of controller.

REPLACING A STARTER IN WALMART'S PARKING LOT! Chevy Equinox
zhlédnutí 1KPřed 2 lety
Starter went out on the wife's 2008 Chevy Equinox; it had it's last start when she went to Walmart. Once she came out- no starty, no bueno. So here's how to replace the starter on a 2005-2009 Chevy Equinox or Pontiac Torrent. Do this at your own discretion. I am not responsible for any accidents or incidents you may have working on your own vehicles.

Truck pulling to one side? Steering loose or notchy? Front end shake when you hit a pothole? Your tie rods may be worn out. Here is how to replace the outer tie rod on the 2nd gen Dodge Rams (94-02). Other Dodges are similar; Chevy's & Fords have a similar setup too.
VW Jetta MASSIVE OIL LEAK! oil cooler O-ring replacement
zhlédnutí 2,6KPřed 2 lety
MK3 Jetta started leaking LOTS of oil on the ground, so we had to figure out where it was coming from, & how to fix it. Ours is a 1997 Jetta 2.0 gas motor- BUT all VW's from mid 90's to late 2000's use a similar oil cooler- here is how to replace the O-ring.
STICKY TAILGATE FIX- Dodge Ram 2nd gen & others
zhlédnutí 3,9KPřed 2 lety
Dented my tailgate during plow season & now it won't open- here's how to assess & fix that. I fixed mine, but then ended up replacing the tailgate with another one. This solution works on most Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Dodge etc. tailgates. They are all similar in function & design.
ADJUSTING VALVES / replacing valve cover gaskets on a 12 valve Dodge Cummins / finding the oil leak!
zhlédnutí 520Před 2 lety
So my Cummins has been leaking a little oil for years, & started getting worse a few months ago. Looking around, I found oil sludge around the valve cover gaskets. They were def due to be replaced. It's been awhile since the valves have been adjusted too, so while I have them off I might as well adjust the valves, killing 2 birds with 1 stone. Here's how you do it. HOW TO REPLACE A BALL JOINT- Dodge Ram
Thanks SO MUCH!! I will hopefully be able to do this on my GF's car a helluva lot more efficiently after watching your video. You rock :)
thank you!
This fix worked great on my pop-up, thanks!
Looks like youve got a supercab, not quad cab. Quad cab has 4 full size doors.
might be; we have always called them quad cab. Supercab sounds bigger which would indicate the bigger full size doors. Every time we see an ad on marketplace with my style truck, it's always called a quad cab
@@Smittyschannel I see. Quad sounds better anyway. 🙂
Omg this is so helpful I got my first truck for my 16th birthday and is is a 2002 and it had this problem thanks man 💯🫡
No way. This is fake
That was the best diy I've seen. Texas
thanks!
Did that fix your problem or was it leaking somewhere else also?
that fixed it. Thanks for watching
Welp now i know I need a motor
My motor was making noise my mother was not making noise but my wife was fix it
My mother was making noise
Love the video a 2018 Dodge ram 1500 is it going to be the same
thanks for taking the time to make this video, it's going to help a lot of people, sure helped me
This was the one I needed.
Do you put pipe dope on the female threads on the union ?
No, just the male part. But even that isn't really necessary; I just do it for extra measure
what about the carpet in the back does it get wet , and if so, how to remove it ?
Ours wasn't; others' might get wet. Hard to tell. I would take off the door sill covers & look for edges to pull up
My door Dr side rear door seems to be stuck at the top and the bottom of the door.. passenger side works like new...
once you remove the latch / puck from the bottom, it all works again
My truck has junkyard swapped doors and they are from a lower trim level truck so the previous owner just cut out the door wiring harness and just hooked up the two wires in each door so it looks like im going to have to feed wiring through the harness going in the rear doors and run it All the way back to the factory stereo and cut into the rear speaker channels and i don't want to do that so it just has front speakers...
Still good? Going to do this today
Actually it started peeling a little & leaking a month ago- so for me, it was good for 2 years lol. I may solder / braze it this time and be done with it. Or maybe try a different epoxy
@@Smittyschannel perfect thanks for the reply I just did it but I will keep an eye on it!
@@Smittyschannel Did you drain it first? Everytime I use it on my truck's diff, it only sticks when fully drained.
@@Tundra_Guy the fluid was well below the pinhole, so it worked. If the hole was in the fluid level, then yes you need to drain & dry first
I have both the Audew and the Noco, and after boosting quite a few dead batteries in the Canadian winter, i find that the Noco performs much better that the Audew. I will keep using the Noco, the Audew just couldn't cut it
I would check hoses & hose connections, coolant levels & bleeding air out of the system. Have the bike running with the radiator cap off & let the system burp out the air bubbles. Then top it off with coolant & put cap back on. What kind / color antifreeze are you using?
@@Smittyschannel use refrigerante naranja, ok muchas gracias al parecer tenía las mangueras de la bomba cambiadas la del radiador estaba en la parte de afuera y la del motor en la parte de adentro
@@DAVIDMARTINEZ-lz8fq I would highly recommend flushing it thoroughly like I do in this video, & using the blue asian / honda coolant. Walmart sells Peak asian blue coolant
@@Smittyschannel entendido muchas gracias
changed em on Chevys an this weekend doin a mazda but we know its a ford. Appreciate your video!
Genius! 💪
You can even paint match it for concealment too.
You're using way too much dope and you don't need it on the threads of a union. Sorry but this is a good example of why people shouldnt monkey with gas unless they are properly trained
thanks for the insight- Columbia Gas ok'ed it with no problems
Dad said you need to change the roters since the brake was metal to metal in the back
you can, or you can machine the grooves out, or scuff it up with an angle grinder. The only thing wrong is it will wear our the brake pads a little quicker; I have lifetime pads so it's not a big deal
You also need to loosen bleed valve when pushing piston back in
Never ever had to do that; take the lid off the master cylinder and gently push caliper back in
Lo megor video amigo gracias you seve m 400
You are the best real clear video lovet I lot
Good job Sir , that's very helpful. thanks
Im having the left side turn signal work but the right side doesnt and it makes a humming sound from the fuse box what could that be
trying replacing the relays with other relays & see if it does it again. Try to pinpoint what's making the humming sound. If it keeps doing it you may need to replace the multifunction switch
@@Smittyschannel i figured it out it was the bulb connection being faulty
Living in CA has its major downsides, but one thing I'm very grateful for is that our cars dont typically have rust worst than surface level. Great video!
yes, it's definitely a trade off on both sides
great video, great detail, super helpful.
thank you for stopping by
Yes mechanical is always better. Problem is my 2006 Pontiac Torrent doesn't have that capped hole to reach the latch any ideas
Thanks for the hint. I unflat the tube after raplacing the pump, now it's working. 😅 wondering who did it, the factory or mechanics😅
How to adjust brakes on a,1996f Dodge caravan 1:58
Don’t cross thread the bottom bolt like I did. Bolt part number: 6507654AA Hitch nut part number: 6502817
Great video helped me with my 98 1500 2 wd . Did you have the spacers to save money on tires ?
No I bought them so I could run the 2001 aluminum wheels on it like you see on the video. They don't fit on 94-98 trucks without added clearance
Okay brother thank you your video was much helpful. Thank you for your feedback also .
Thank you, I was just looking for videos about this, and you just helped troubleshoot the problem for me. You were very meticulous in showing every detail, which is lacking in many videos. I subscribed and liked. Take Care
How tight,the bearing nut?
Stop using junkyard shit lol
Rarely ever had issues with it- if I do, I take it back & get another one. Plus new is 5x more expensive; used ones will still last me 4-6 years. By then I usually have sold the truck or retired it
I just want to know where the washer hose connects to I have the main line coming from the washer reservoir up to the blades but it’s just the single rubber house where can I get the dual hose that connects to the main
typically it comes from the washer pump (bottom of reservoir drivers side of radiator) up to the hose connection on drivers side
@@Smittyschannel yes I know that I’m talking about the the two smaller hoses that go into the plastic y piece do those to hoses go into the cowl? I bought mine without one and didn’t know if they connected to nozzles already in the cowl
@@mattleibrock yes the main line comes underneath the cowl & connects to a Y fitting. That takes 2 hoses & runs under the cowl to each spray nozzle
Do I have to drain my fluid first got a hairline crack in mine.
I would; unless the crack is up high where there's no fluid. If the area is wet from oil or fluid, you'll need to dry it out completely
My 3rd gen. 750 had a slightly loose ground wire . It looked tight ,but it wasn’t. An 1/8 turn on the bolt under the seat where a cluster of grounds were fixed the issue. It never really was overheating.
Get rid of that pipe dope and use new black fittings and pipe. Clean and safe.

Thank you so much, brother 🙏 help me alot. Cheers
This is the type of video I wished every tech made. I regret not taking videos of all the repairs I've made (knowing full well that someone had to deal with the same) that being said I'm glad there's still some doing it. Great video brother. Everything I needed. 🎉
I like the Audew longer cables and a bit wider clamps would be better… but it does an excellent job … it’s a capacitor so no battery to explode if you leave it in the trunk in the summer!!
yeah the short cables are a bit annoying
Great explanation!
