SF Car Wash Channel

Since I was 6, I have been interested in car washing. After watching videos of car washes from around the globe on CZcams, I decided to start this channel. In 2015, I decided to shift my focus towards conveyorized car washes, and I began contacting car wash owners so that I could begin taking videos from inside car wash bays as opposed to from inside a car, and learn from those who are in the industry.
I am based out of the Orange County, CA area, and film car washes wherever I go.
Uploads will occur whenever possible, though I aim for at least 1 video per month.

Shine Time Super Wash: Huntsville South Pkwy Site - Polish Tunnel
After finding success with the polish tunnel at their Huntsville University Dr location, Shine Time Super Wash constructed several more locations with polish tunnels. This site has their third Sonny's polish tunnel so far.
This polish tunnel has a 70' conveyor, and is outfitted with 2 TOP2k14 Buff N Dry top brush/wrap combo units and a pair of Tire Seal machines. Customers go through the wash tunnel first and receive the top package with the tire shine disabled. After, staff towel dry the car and apply NCS Super Express Wax with an atomizer gun. The tunnel rubs the product into the vehicle's surfaces, with tire shiners at the end providing a final touch.

Shine Time Super Wash opened their 9th location overall and 7th in Alabama in April of 2024. I don’t like how much time they spend prepping. Just let the machines do the work, it’s more efficient and effective if dialed in correctly.
I agree. This wash has it all equipment wise. Only prep should be the quick shot of bug juice, if there are bugs. There's two of everything except van wraps which just help the final rinse, they don't really clean. These are the most dialed in Sonny's wraps I've seen and it looks like the newer generation quiet foam. Great timing and boosting to hit the back. 10/10 here 😎

"a 5 producer International Drying Corporation Stealth drying system." Quiet though it may be, it still packs drying power. "As the site is located next to a residential area, the tunnel exit has been designed to minimize noise pollution." With the Stealth that just might do the trick.

If the side brushes were slow, there would be no scratches?
There shouldn't be any as long as the brush material is free of debris and the surface of the vehicle is well lubricated regardless of rotation speed. Generally I think around 75 RPM is best for C-channel brushes and 90 RPM is best for starcore brushes, but it depends on other factors like material and chain speed.

No, it's the standard Hush Brush configuration they have had for years. Have only seen the Plush Brush configuration at a Shine Time Super Wash location (the video of it will be posted in about 2 weeks).

Very nice wash! Idk what to do because I got a new car and they told me not to go through car washes with brushes. I love going through the car wash so I’m hoping I can still somehow go with my new car.
It is much safer to wash your car in a friction tunnel than via any other method, so you should be fine to use automatic car washes. A lot of touchless setups use hydrofluoric acid to make up for the lack of friction, which dissolves a layer of the clear coat, and hand washing (using any method) has been proven to cause hundreds of times more clear coat damage than automatic washes.

It’s Kaady and AVW
Kaady built the old main drying system that was at this site when Manny Lozano operated it. The current drying system has the same style of producer, though much of the design has been changed.

The new car shampoo is horrible it does not wash your car clean. There are no suds and at the end the shimmy does not even work!!!! There are many new Car washes opening if this isn't corrected I'll start going else ware and other family members and friends. Please bring back the color suddzy shampoo . 😢😢 Not happy.
