90s music videos were weird all round but the club track ones added their own little twists to them. Classic Trance tracks are not reacted to at all on here and it's sad. Makes it feel like it's truly being forgotten more than other music. Some modern songs have caught onto that kinda sound (Baddest of Them All for eg), but when that trend seems to come back it goes away again quickly. I could recommend SO many tracks to listen to from the 90s/00s. If you went down that rabbit hole you'd be set for a good while. I've been clawing them all back into a playlist or back into my consciousness over the years 🤣

How this song was used on "Deadwood" - The entire series was rife with metaphors. The sty where they threw the dead men's bodies in for the hogs to devour was the portal to Hell. The song came first and inspired the writers of Deadwood to have the bit with the hogs/portal. Al represented Satan, who while being amoral was still amused/outraged at all the horrors mankind suffered and wanted to know why the Big Guy/town establishment allowed it to go on even as Al profited from it. From Al's perspective, was he really the bad guy here? The series was deeply written, multi-layered, one probably needs to watch it more than once to catch everything.
