John and Patsy staged the kidnapping to prevent Burke from being charged with the murder of his sister. Because of their love for him, and also to keep their social standing at all costs. It would not do for Patsy to have a murderer as a son, particularly one who killed her great love, her angel, Jon Benet. So they imagined a different storybook ending. There is no way that John did this and that Patsy knew and covered it up. In their interviews, Patsy is a firecracker. She is fiesty and hostile, and John supports her. If Patsy realized that John killed her baby girl, she would have killed him or turned him in. Either right then, or some time after. However, these two remained together through it all. BURKE, on the other hand, went off to a special boarding school to get away from the "media attention". I don't think that Patsy and John could stand to look at Burke after this. Burke is the ONLY one with a history of violent behavior towards Jon Benet. He smeared fecal matter in her bed and on her things. He hit her with a golf club before, and that is known. He despised her, and he openly admits that he didn't have feelings towards her dying. I believe he killed her by mistake when he got angry and hit her in the head with something when the two of them snuck downstairs at night while Patsy and John were sleeping. This interview is just the icing on the cake. Burke is seriously disturbed. He cannot help but smile and laugh about this topic. He knew why he was there; to talk about his sister's murder. When he talks about his mom not being violent, we see the calm Burke. But any time he is accused of taking part in the murder, or talks about how he felt afterwards, he cannot wipe the excited smile from his face as he has no control of it. He may not be a psychopath, but a seriously disturbed, mentally ill, possibly Autistic person nonetheless. Patsy and John were devastated about Jon Benet's murder, particularly Patsy. She couldn't look at Burke after that. BUT she and John still protected him from consequences. They staged the kidnapping and randsom to protect their young son who had just killed his sister. That is the only option that makes any sense.

Believe what you want, I am a medium and I’m completely new to accepting and wanting to use my gifts to help spirits. You know watching this back a few years later, as much as I believe Jenna’s apology was genuine I also have a feeling at this point in her CZcams career she was kind of tired of being on the internet anyways. The mother says at the beginning when the interviewer asks her about the night her daughter disappears and she says it was during one of her checks and says ".....I can't really go into any details..." Why? Why can't she say? She went into the room and couldn't find her daughter. It's not as if she came and there was evidence of if a struggle or blood. The interviewer asked her if panic had set in. She said, "pretty much." That is a very casual response for the fact that your baby is missing. The husband said that having dinner and leaving the kids alone was no different then having "dinner in the garden." Well no. You are in a foreign country. You left BABIES alone-was she 3? And two 18 months old in an unlocked ground level room where you could not see the room from where they were eating. The interviewer asked them if they felt guilt, did you blame yourselves. "The first few days." There is something very wrong with them. My cat went missing. They are no longer outdoor. He came back the next day. I was crying, depressed, I went out looking for him. If he had not come back, I would feel enormous guilt and shame. I am not saying I would end my life but I would certainly feel a huge amount of grief and loss and depression that would never leave. That is a normal response to a loss of a loved one that you could have prevented. People who love their animals and their children watch them like a hawk 24/7. It doesn't matter it was a "safe resort." It was a foreign country. They are doctors. They likely watch the news, read newspapers, are aware of predators and people who abduct children. Normal parents would not have done what they did. It has only been three weeks. Most would be hysterical. The mother has tied a pretty bow in her hair. She should be crying, disheveled. And they are the ones who asked for the interview. They should be out putting up posters or pleading for the return of their daughter. As a side note, since they are doctors, their sedated state could be due to antianxiety medication. Or further evidence that they are too self-absorbed to take any blame and their muted responses are abnormal. If you were their loved one and the kidnapper let you watch tv, what would your reaction be? Probably WTF? I would think, why the hell are you two just sitting there and not looking for me? What do you mean you felt guilty "the first few days"?! I don't know what happened but they are partly responsible due to their neglect even if they did not harm their daughter, they made her a victim .

The child is a product of their parents, so for them to not claim any responsibility for their upbringing of their child says a lot about who they are.

I agree that Ross' shame and guilt does seem real - that however does not mean he would not have re-offended if he had ever been released (and not executed). I suppose all of these indicators could be faked but many of them are subconscious - it would be very difficult for someone to fake this consistently for a lengthy interview.
