I agree with many of the points said, in fact these days in India, a player has made her own "version" of Rudra veena and changing a lot of things, her entire JJA session lasts for 30-40min she even plays the veena with non-traditional dress.. its becoming a performance/audience show sad.

Then begin the practice......this is the honour of "Rudra Veena"..... Because this is your worship..... We do meditate on your beautiful music,so we want that you live most beautiful.... It is not necessary that how many crowd listen Rudra Veena.... Few quality listener are your perfect reward..... After every practice try to play with swan or spend some time with them ,feed them. You will find that Rudra Veena is most happy from you.because Swan is the friend of Mom Saraswati.... The Nature of Rudra Veena is Gambhir (serious) ,but it's not true..... As per my experience it's a layer by layer levels of fun and joy...... Keep it up and Best Wishes.... Namaste and I love you also.... One beautiful Friendship kiss from me.... And one hug for free. Try to avoid to play raga basant , because "Patjhad ka mousam" has punished you that's why hair loss problem facing by you..... For growing Golden hair on your head try to practice on Raga Lalit.

Ravan who was ardent devote of Shiva, took out all his intestines made them as string and played Veena when he was struck below the mountain due to pressing of Shiva Angusta... Lord Shiva blessed him after pleased with his Veena playing as ND pleased before Rudra, came name as RUDRA VEENA
