Peace of garbage electrical parts burn out after 2 summers and the parts are always on back order during the summer which is a tactic they use to get you to buy a new one as for warranty does not cover shipping of parts and installation of parts if parts are available

Thank christ. I work at an old folks home and it's been a really hot summer thus far. We have a resident on one floor who is an old Italian guy who can't help but constantly switch the AC unit on his floor to full blast heat every day. And every night when I come in for my midnight shift I have to go up and set it back to AC. With this video and a config PDF I found online, I managed to set the maximum heat temp to 68 degrees, and also disable the heating (code C3, set to C iirc, the Reverse Cycle Operation's "cooler only with or without electric heat" option) so even if he turns it to heat at 80 degrees, the heat never kicks on, the temp maxes out at 68, and it just blows cool air. I've already talked with him and tried to explain he's not allowed to touch the hallway unit, but he can set his room unit as hot as he wants, and he replied with "I no give a s--t". So instead I decided to do what I did and just let him think he's cranking the heat up. His nonsense has been causing our master AC system in the roof above his floor to struggle and leak, and it's been making our housekeeper on that floor sweat to death so I'm glad I got to stick it to the old Italian p---k.

I believe you did that wrong you start from either motor should be on its corresponding terminal on the capacitor and then one leg of power to common with should be your common not run hence why the capacitor says common on it

Long shot here and hope you respond but we just installed 2 brand new ones and it gives me a fault code #2 Outside Fan Fault, I have no idea how to fix that, did I get defective PTACs? Would appreciate the help

Is that really the end of the problem? That would be great. But I’m curious about why it fried. Like does the capacitor read fine? I’d like to see how we’re supposed to read it on a multi meter. I guess it could just be a little corrosion thinning out the end of the wire causing it to overload and toast the end. The capacitor didn’t have any carbon marks so it probably was just on the wire. I’m glad you posted this

I have a Ptac unit in my patio with same problem. I did all the steps and took them off. - When you order the blower wheel does the nut & washer come with it that attaches to the motor? I didn't see you attach a new one in your video. - - The blower wheel has a lot of play left to right. I found the parts numbers from the one you gave one of the commenters. I've seen many of your video. You got talent buddy. Great explanations. Thank you.
